We visited for a short while to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok city.

We spotted lots of monitor lizards and birds.

Plenty of green space to relax on and stroll leisurely.

Nice quiet lovely park in the middle of Bangkok. It was easy to spend several hours here. Not many tourists and great for a walk!

I always choose to stay right near Lumpini each time I travel to Bangkok. A great place to find a spot of shade and watch the local life carrying on around you.

Here you can enjoy a nice long walk. You can jog or ride a bicycle or event rent a small boat in the lake. Trees and birds are nice to watch, people are all working out inside the park. It was fun.

While not quite Central Park or Hyde Park, Lumpini plays a similar role in Bangkok as those famous green areas. This is a great spot to rest, relax, commune with nature. Or to hard-walk, jog, run, or bicycle. You'll see people doing all of those if you meander though Bangkok's green lung. The luxuriant trees and the placid lake create a picturesque place to enjoy whatever you feel like doing--whether you want to be active or just want to chill. And the location is very convenient, near the popular and well-trafficked Silom and Sathorn areas.
