If you are thinking about taking a trip to Bangkok and you want to visit a beautiful place that is more secluded, this is the spot to go. This was a very relaxing experience for us, and the view we saw at the top was truly amazing. There is no fee for entry and there is quite a climb to get to the very top. You climb the stairs to get to see a panoramic view of Ko Rattanakosin (the old city). On clear day you can see the Grand Palace, Chaopraya River and China Town.
Many shrines and misting waterfalls on the way up. A very peaceful experience. The main beauty of the temple is the building, its location, and the views.
About transportation, I advise you to get a taxi or a tuk tuk to wait for you. This is so easy, just organize this at the point of pickup and should not cost you any more than 100 baht.
