“Good shopping, good food court”
Reviewed 20 April 2013

A good place to shop in Bangkok. Ladies, children and gents, all are available. A wide variety of clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. Prices, medium, quality, pretty good. If you are lucky, you can also find a sale on their 3rd floor hall. wide range of reasonable items are normally available. On the 7th floor, the food loft is also very interesting. A variety of stalls offering cuisine from all over the world. Also a direct access from the BTS skytrain. Overall a good place to visit.

“Just a Big Store”
Reviewed 6 April 2013

Yes, the store is big and it has a few upscale brands, but the staff is a disapointment. They are basically kids who have very little retail experience. For example I asked a salesperson who had been examining her face in a mirror where the lingerie department was. The girl had no clue what I was talking about. She disappeared to ask someone else who also did not know. They only know the Thai words for clothing. When we went to the department each staff only knows there little assigned area and not the entirer department. So you have to wander around looking and asking. I overheard another customer trying to ask for details about a shirt. The salesperson had no clue. The store pretends to be hi-so, but as with many things in LOS it is just a wannabe.

“Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Soooo many storeys ah!”
Reviewed 30 January 2013

This shopping mall is THE place to go to every time coming to Bangkok. Staying in Grand Hyatt Erawan is also a plus point because it is near to this mall. Plenty of beautiful clothes for the urban people. Mall is within walking distance via the pedestrian sky bridge from Renaissance Ratchaprasong Bangkok Hotel.Scaling all 7 storeys of this mall in one day is nearly impossible. All in all, would love to visit this mall again. Shopper's Paradise larh!

“Western style assortment - better prices and much better service”
Reviewed 19 January 2013

We (family with 2 young kids) - as every time - went to Central at least 3 times during our recent Bangkok trip. The assortment easily can compete with the top western department stores with the additional possibility to buy Thai products (lemongrass diffusers are great to keep a memory of Thailand for your bathroom at home). Prices are obviously higher than what you can find on the street or at Chatuchak, but these are all branded products and in general much cheaper than in Europe or other parts of Asia (maybe with the exception of top end espresso machine from Europe) especially for clothing.
As a consequence - whenever we go to Thailand on holiday - at the end i have to buy an additional suitcase to carry all the purchases.
Tip 1: if you are looking for very affordable lunch / dinner to take back to your hotel room to feed the otherwise noise kids: Go to the Food Hall on ground floor and choose from the food bar - they have some nice non spicy past dishes - ideal for small kids.
Tip 2: Traffic around the store can be very bad - if by any way possible take the BTS Skytrain to get to here.
Tip 3: If you love Thai food and want to cook it back home - go to the Food Hall and buy some of the pastes made by the famous restaurant "Green Elephant". You can also buy this at a few other department stores (Siam Paragon).
Tip 4: In the toys department (i think 6th floor) they have a big play zone - so one of you can stay here with the kids whilst your partner can do some shopping in peace.

“Shop till you drop”
Reviewed 10 January 2013

A fabulous place to shop, especially when the sale season is on. Everything is organised well and it is easy to find what you want once you have the map in hand. Make sure you wear flat comfortable shoes as it's a fairly large amount of walking! Coming here once is not enough specially if you are a woman!!
