“A great new addition”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

Bangkok is not short of good French restaurants but few ever manage to combine excellent food, attentive service with truly great value. Maverick does. Under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Wilfred this restaurant excels on many levels. The menu is well balanced with a good selection of inventive fish and meat dishes with the emphasis being on dishes from the South of France. The food is unfussy yet invariably delicious
The wine list offers a wide ranging variety, is intelligent and provides great value. While concentrating essentially on French wines there is a canny selection of New World wines (the wines by the glass also provide a great alternative when you don't want to consume a bottle)
Service is enthusiastic, friendly and well paced. In sum Maverick is well worth a visit and we will return

“Fantastic experience”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

A fairly new restaurant in Bangkok, we had a super experience. Great food, well presented and a menu that offers somethjing for everytaste-bud. Service impeccable and the atmosphere and design of maverick is great. The tapas style starters are to die for and so is there Short rib. A fantastic now spot in BKK....stylish and relaxed.

“Amazing food!! Bravo chef!”
Reviewed 10 July 2014 via mobile

My friends and I been to maverick as we heard that the chef have change, before cuisine offered was just ok, but now we can see real chAnge as the new chef arrived and change the menu in less than 1 month! Now cuisine is tasty, gourmand and beautiful. We can see the passion of the chef in every dishes! We order many different dishes and all share so we could try many of the new chef creation.
For start we had some of the bites and snack, fried baby shrimp was succulent, crunchy and super fresh!
Black rice crackers with guacamole was nice and crispy, I wish it would come with bit more guacamole but was very good looking like that!

For stater we had beef tartar with wasabi and shaved radish, that was nice and refine! The crab salad was superb and fresh. Octopus salad with pomelo was good with nice roasted flavor from the peanuts sorbet, this dish would be great in Thai restaurant but I was not expect this here! We also have the home made potato gnocchi with chanterelle mushroom, that was divine!! Best gnocchi I had so fare, even better that all Italian restaurant here in Bangkok.

For main course we had the river prawn, that was super fresh and very well executed by the chef! The veal Quasi with lentil was very tender and full of flavor! The baby chicken was good but a bit spicy for foreigner taste but would be perfect for Thais! The baby lamb shoulder cook for 12 hours was the high light of the evening, to die for, melt in your mouth, flavorful sauce and smoky eggplant flavor!

Dessert was also good and creative

They also have very nice great wine selection at reasonable price!

We all love the food, wine, atmosphere and new arrived chef!!

This restaurant should be full every night!!

Merci chef for this beautiful culinary journey! We will back soon.

“Still excellent”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

The Maverick keep his value as reference. The menu change recently, and I would recommend the "chicken legs" (not sure about the exact name) as appetizer and the pomelo salad as entrance.
Without forgetting the wine selection, one of the best in Bangkok.
