“It's fine if you remember it's an airport hotel”
Reviewed 21 February 2014

Stayed here 1st night after flying in late, a week later for 1 nights and last night before we came home.
Paid around £15pn on Expedia for room, breakfast and 2 airport runs. Which at £7.50 each is good value. Costs more than that to take 2 kids to McDonalds!
Airport pick up works well and they leave the hotel at 30mins past the hour 24 hours a day to go to the airport. It's around 5 mins depending on the traffic.

The rooms are fine, odd numbers are at the rear and quieter but over look the commercial turtle ponds, ground floor rooms=no stairs to climb but everyone walks past you door. We preferred the 3rd floor.
Great showers, but room at the front had odd smell whilst the back ones didn't.
Aircon works quickly and it is needed.
Breakfast is OK, tea or coffee, fruit juice, toast, and as I'm a veggie I got extra fried eggs.
Smoking allowed outside on the seating areas.
The cafe is open till 11pm and does very nice dinners surprisingly but wished it stayed open later.

For £15.00 pn for 2 people I have no complaints.

Sparkling clean. Just ideal to spend the night at the hotel and take your flight out the next morning. They offer airport drop and pick up otherwise its a pain to get to,
The rooms are definitely clean and you will get your nights rest if that is what you are looking for. Staff is courteous. Breakfast is served but if you ask for another slice of toast you are not going to get it!! No complaints though, as it was enough to get you by.
I dont have any complaints because I got what I wanted. Just to sleep the night to get to the airport the next morning.

It's an ok facility if you simply need a place to spend a night close to the Suvarnabhumi airport. The rooms are small, yet clean and sufficiently equipped. The staff are fine - we were leaving early, before breakfast and they brought us sandwiches and juice late at night to have it ready in the morning. The shuttle to the airport is ok and comes at the price of a room. The hotel is located 15 minutes away from the Suvarnabhumi airport, which is convenient. Mind that it's located in the middle of nowhere, though it's just a place to spend a night. There's a restaurant next door, which is ok. On the other side of the main road there's 7Eleven and small Tesco, so it's possible to buy some groceries. A Skytrain line goes just next to the hotel but it doesn't make the room very noisy.

Room Tip: Ok place for one-night stay

We flew into Don Meuang (DMK) from Krabi late at night, and were leaving from Suvarnabhumi (BKK) early the next morning. We caught the free public shuttle between airports and wanted to stay somewhere close to BKK. Airy was very affordable, clean, and surprisingly spacious & comfortable. We stayed on the top floor to avoid noisiness from above. Of course you get plane & train noise, but you would at any hotel with this proximity to these transit hubs. We got a good night's sleep regardless. Free shuttle to airport was great and on time, breakfast was freshly prepared and hot! Everyone was very friendly too - way more so than at other higher end places we stayed! The neighborhood looked interesting, a nice looking wat closeby and many streetstalls and small shops, but we didn't have time to explore.

Overall, at the end of our trip we were really impressed with this place compared to the range of accommodations we had over the previous two weeks.

Small touch, after seeing SO MUCH trash all over Thailand I really appreciated that the bottled water they provided was in reusable glass bottles instead of throwaway plastic.

One word of advice, if you catch a cab from airport to hotel instead of using shuttle, make sure they use their meter and be prepared for them to be grumpy about such a short ride. Our official airport taxi driver wanted to charge 400baht flat rate, we insisted on meter and ended up paying 130baht.

Enjoy!

Room Tip: Try the top floor. You have to walk up the stairs, but it's only three flights!

I have to agree with the other TripAdvisors :) Located in a quaint, Thai residential neighborhood that's a hop, skip, and a jump away from Suvarnabhumi Int'l Airport, Airy Resort provided an ideal quick night's stay in Bangkok. For the small price paid you get a decent room, an airport shuttle, and breakfast. Don't come expecting anything fancy--there isn't even any soap for the bathroom sink--but the room is clean and although others reported noise, either we were just too exhausted to notice or we got lucky and it wasn't as crowded. We had time, before turning in for the night, to take a quick tour through the city. We found an excellent cabbie, Supol, right outside the hotel who agreed to take us there and back for 800 THB. We were gone for about 4hrs and it was quite worth it especially if you have a limited amount of time. The front desk was well-organized and very pleasant. Again, to echo others' comments, this isn't a place particularly suitable for an extended stay but it's definitely worth it for a quick journey!

We only had one night in Bangkok when we first got to Thailand and so we booked this hotel hoping to have somewhere convenient, affordable, and clean to sleep in for a few hours-- it fit the bill! The front desk was super helpful and the small restaurant was open late and tasty. It wasn't the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, but it was perfect for what we were looking for. Keep in mind, it is close to the international airport, but quite a ways from the domestic, so make sure you plan ahead if you have an early flight to catch!
