Booked this hotel thru Asiarooms at a cheap rate and it worked out to be SGD54 per person for 3 nights. Was really impressed by the cleanliness of the bathroom as even the space between tiles was white. Room size decent. There was space to walk about for 3 people. Bring your own toiletries and towels (i am more particular bout towels but my girlfriend had no problem using the hotel's) Furniture looked a bit worn but well kept. the bar fridge and air con's thermostat was a little noisy at night.

The construction site the rest of the forum was talking about is right outside the window. it is a tall building in construction and yes, if you open the curtains they can look into the room and see everything clearly. We kept the curtains closed for the stay since we were just there to sleep at night.

We went everywhere in taxis who charged by the meter it was really cheap, the hotel's security guys will help u flag them down and ask the driver 'meter?'. Ratchathewi BTS station is not far, 5-10mins walk and u can see Asia Hotel by the BTS. The reception personel were helpful but they were the grouchiest Thais i met when i was there. breakfast was forgettable.

Ultimately, for a cheap holiday, i will stay here again.

This was a nice place to stay. About a 5 minute walk to the Skytrain. This was very convienent to get the Chatuchak market. A taxi to the Grand Palace/National Museum area from the hotel was only about 70 baht ($2 USD). We got a deluxe room which had a lot of space. Beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and big.

For eating dinner, we went to a night market right near the hotel. Take a left outside the hotel and about half a block down, there was a market that sold a huge variety of food. We bought a ton of food for extremle cheap and took it back to the hotel to eat. It was a unique experience.

We were at the back of the hotel, so it was nice and quiet. The only thing I would recommend is that you hail your own taxi to the airport. The hotel will get one for you, but it will cost extra. We saved about 300 baht ($9 USD) by going out the front door and hailing a taxi ourselves.

Overall, I think this was a great place with a great value. Would recommend to anyone!

I needed a layover of two night. Cost about $50AU. The room was large, at the end of the building, quiet and was pleseantly surprised with cleanliness.
Just a basic room, firm mattress. Good for people on a budget. Would stay there again

WE stayed here for two nites, 30June- 1July.
The location was in a quieter part of the city. So, there are nothing much at the front of the hotel. You need to walk for about 7-10 minutes to the nearest BTS. And its quite a hassle as you will need to carry your shopping bags back to the hotel.

The room is generally clean and large. There is some construction going on at the side of the hotel. And I think it will take a long time to complete. We have our closed our curtains all the time as the workers can look directly into the rooms. About the noise, we din hear much as we were out most of the time.

WE paid about 800 baht for a standard room with breakfast. Breakfast has a choice of Continental and American. Try the Thai food. Husband saids its yummy.

The reception are nice except a lady who works nite shift. She is really grumpy and all. The rest of the staff at the hotels are really helpful, especially the bell boy. He really went all the way to flag a taxi for you and if the taxi refused to turn on his meter, he will get another one. WE had an early flight the next day and I told him I need to get a cab at 5 am.By 4.45 am, a cab is waiting for us right outside and we didnt need to pay the hotel for the booking service.:)

Service, cleanliness, is good for the price you paid. I think the hotel lack the ambience of night life and markets. Other than that, it was ok. NEar to everything .

Stayed Hear in JUne 2008- Very clean pleasant hotel.
My daughter booked this for us on our arrival in Thailand.
Staff very friendly.
Breakfast not much of a choice.
Clean rooms.
Only complaint was the telephone bill from the room. My daughter timed herself on a clock but when we went to pay the bill was 15mins more than we had been on the phone.

Very close to the sky train.
