I have stayed at many hotels/guest houses in Bangkok and I would say for sure that this is now our go to location. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. Ten minute walk will get you to the Metro and then you can travel cheap throughout Bangkok. A local market is close. The service is great. We had heard that the staff do not understand english but we had no experience with this. The food is good and it is quiet as partiers dont come here. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. The pool is welcoming after a long day in the heat.

We have been to bangkok many times and stayed in several budget hotels and guesthouses and kt guesthouse is absolutely the best. The desk staff is friendly and helpful, they have printed up directions and thai instructions for most major sights for ease when getting a taxi. They have also printed easy to use directions for using the metro train and sky train. The rooms are very clean, the food is great, it is quiet and convenient to transportation

Great little place to stay at! Its an old building w/ simple rooms. No TV but they do have free WiFi! Plenty of space and very clean! Cold AC and warm shower water. Our bed was so comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful! The restaurant at KT Guesthouse is excellent! Several selections of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All tasty! The best Tom Yum Soup you'll ever have! They also have a laundry service. When they were done, our clothes were fresh, clean, and always folded so nicely!
There is a large street market about a 10 min walk w/ a verity of meats, veggis, fruits, clothes, etc.
711 is just 100 feet away w/ an ATM machine. Directly next door is a message establishment which i highly recommend!
Thank you KT Guesthouse for being a part of my stay in Thailand. You have a special place in my heart and i cant wait to visit again!

K. T. Guesthouse is a very nice hotel. Yes, it may be a little dated but it is ALWAYS clean and they have a wonderful staff. The very bad negative comments from one guest can be completely disregarded. After discussion with the owner, the security tapes proved that no one from the staff had entered that room except the complainer and his one-night stand. The complainer also failed to mention that a police report was filed and evidence proved that no wrongdoing was committed by any of the staff. K.T. Guesthouse works hard to maintain a clean, wholesome, safe and secure home away from home and they discourage the activity brought by this one bad apple. I do know that later this year, they will be adding more capacity. Once that is done, the original facility will get its facelift. Sure, there are nicer places to stay but not at this price. Wi-Fi capability throughout and including rooms at a very reasonable rate. The restaurant is very good and has a wide variety of delicious meals...again, at reasonable prices. This is a two-star hotel with ***** service. With a convenient location and helpful staff, if you want to save money, this facility is a keeper. Every time I come to Thailand, my plans always include K. T. Guesthouse. The only negative comments I can offer is the bathroom tile grout is sometimes bad but I have seen 5 star hotels with unsightly bathrooms too. I know that will be addressed during renovation. Also, for a couple nights outside my room this time was a yappy dog. I would have shot if I had something to shoot it with. This was off hotel grounds and not the fault of the hotel. There are no refrigerator's in rooms but the staff will store items in the facility's refrigerators if you ask. Like I have already stated, a ** hotel with ***** service without the price. For this, I give them excellent marks.

Had not stayed at K.T. for some time but was warmly welcomed on first name terms. The bed is great after a tiring journey. The staff are completely trustworthy. Yes, Joseph Ks comments should be removed. Perhaps the food is now a little more expensive but it is tasty. I have left luggage here for weeks when travelling...very handy. From Don Mueng airport it is simple and cheap. The local area is genuine Bangkok. 25 baht motorbike to subway, great local market. Will be back again !!

Room Tip: Remember there is not a lift.

This "guesthouse" is an average reasonable place to stay in Bangkok that is clean and in a quieter nieghbourhood. However it is extremely dated all he furniture the ammenties and features look to be from the 1970's or at best 1980's and I feel that this place is slowly in decline. I don't believe that this place started out as a guesthouse, it has the size, scale and facilities of a hotel (and probably a three star one at that) I believe that through the owners lack of funds or lack of motivation no money has been redirected into this place since the soviet union collapsed eventually they changed the name and lowered the room rate to attract customers. Generally the place is fine but there noticeable signs of wear and tear (broken vents, bubbling and peel pictures, scuff marks on the wall and hideous lamp shades). It needs a new coat of paint, some new furniture and fittings and just some TLC. This place may have been beautiful in its prime but now it is daggy and dated.
