We booked this on line due to it looked quite nice and was in a good position to our needs
When we turned up it was not like in photos!
In fact it was like a council estate from the 70's!
The only thing missing was jimmy saville sat in corner smoking a cigar!
It was run down in need of a good coat of paint, the room was discusting and we checked out straight away!

Not bad accommodations but not great. Friends and I cam here for a weekend trip and this place suited our needs. Some of them said they felt uncomfortable, but not so on my end. We came with a fairly large group and as long as you stay 2-3 people in a room its a decent price.

It is a bit gloomy looking on the inside and the amenities are nothing to brag about. The lights are dim and the beds are, well, they are sleep-able. Nothing to brag about.

If traveling in a pair or trio not a bad price. Next to busy road and easy access to and from BTS.

The Miami Hotel on Soi 13, Sukhumvit, may look decrepit and, dare I say, fossilised but if you want a piece of the action, look no further. In the heart of Bangkok, walking distance from both Nana and Soi Cowboy with the Asok BTS right next door, you can't ask for more at rock-bottom prices. This is the best value for money hotel in the stretch and you have to grab it with both hands. Extremely well-connected to the rest of this bustling city, Miami has a certain old world charm that it carries off with elan as it housed American GIs during the Vietnam War. So there you go -- old world ACs, old world fridge, old world walls and to top it all, old world dial-in telephones (remember Dial M for Murder). Huge rooms at times may get scary but you may soak in all your fears in the massive indoor pool of the hotel where the deep side is very deeeep. I had a superb experience when I stayed here last year in September and the Chinese management went out of their way to help me, especially since I was upset after having returned from a hotel in Phuket with a chunk of my money stolen. Believe me, despite the heebie-jeebies, these guys are nice people, and hey, there's a 7/11 store on the ground floor that can perk you up 24/7. I will stay there again. Thanks, Miami.

I went in with a backpack looking for budget accommodation in Bangkok. I asked how much for a room, and was going to leave to carry on looking, and they asked how much I wanted to pay for a single room for the night - I got them down from (I think) 1,000B to 800B This was in April though, so not their peak season. For a hotel that's clean, in the centre of BKK and has a swimming pool, that isn't bad.
The downsides were that there was no restaurant/room service, wi-fi was extra (I think 100B) and it looks a bit old-fashioned (if you care about that sort of thing) but all in all it was fine for the cheap night I needed before flying out.
Good location, one minute walk from a skyline station.

I was staying in Miami Hotel with my friends. The rate is quite cheap, but the service quality was poor. The staff was nice actually, but all the facilities were out-of-date, the air-con in my room was using a very old air-con, big and noisy. Most of the stuffs were dusty, therefore I was not feel comfortable in this hotel, we can find another hotel with same price but better quality.
The only thing that I love most from this was its location, in the sukhumvit road, easy access to mrt and in the central area.

Every alternate year I used to visit Bangkok with my friends for fun and shopping ! This time again I have stayed at this hotel, which is near to famous 4 star Ambassador hotel ! The standard room is good for solo travellers but if one is travelling with his family should stay in family room which is quite big and can easily accomodate three adults ! The swimming pool is also good ! The staff at reception is still not friendly as there was a contraversy with one of the guest regarding his friend visiting his room ! Previously it was a guest friendly hotel but now a days they have started charging THB 500 per adult for all friends who are visiting you during the stay ! Many entertainment areas like bars, pubs etc are within walkable distance ! The famous pratunam market is only 10 mins drive from this hotel ! Good hotel to stay for budget travellers !

Room Tip: If you are bringing any guest from the outside please be sure to confirm with the reception first ot...
