We're half way through our 2 month stay here and we really love it. My husband is here to work and we have our 6 month old daughter with us.
> The staff are the absolute highlight here, they're like one big happy family and always smiling and have time for a chat. Right from the security guys, to the concierge, front desk, gym, spa, restaurant guys, chefs and housekeeping. All fabulous
> The location. About a 10min walk to Lumpini park, the BTS & MRT, Food Supermarket (there's a TOP's market in the basement of the Silom complex which stocks lots of western food) shops, cafes and restaurants
> Maid Service. Room cleaned every day and bed linens changes and plenty of bottled water provided.. this was a blessing on a long term stay.
> Room - we were in 1804 which was a 1 bed executive. No outside space, but the apartment is huge and lots of natural light
> Breakfast - good spread including: cereals, fruit, yoghurt, ham & cheese, salad, hot buffet (western & Asian) Egg station and plenty of juices, bread & pastries.
> Room Service - Very reasonable.. for example a Pad See Ew is 90THB and a chicken pad thai 120 (a shrimp one is 160) They do add on the 17% tax and service but still works out about £10 to feed 2 of you very well! Food never took more than 30mins to arrive (mostly 20) and was always hot.
> Gym - The staff here are brilliant and the equipment is good and varied.. plenty of cardio & weights and there are classes available (we never did them) cold filtered water and headphones are also provided.
> Spa - Have had a couple of massages so far - very good and again reasonable in price
Only a couple of very minor gripes
> Wifi - coud be flaky at times and the signal varied greatly throughout the apartment
> There seemed to be a different chef on sundays & public holidays and there was a definite difference to the room service food quality on these days.
> Pool is always in the shade so not the best for sunbathing!
> There's a good running track round Lumpini park if thats your thing - 2 laps is 5k.. but recommend either going at 6am or 5pm to avoid the heat
> There's a banana pancake stand from about 5pm every day on the road towards the BTS..you can't miss it!
> There's also another Tops supermarket on the other side of the main road opposite the MRT station (its in the basement below McDonalds) and its a lot quieter than the Silom Complex one
> Highly recommend the Sunday brunch at the Crowne Plaza lumpini park - we've been twice already..
