When we entered the hotel, everything seemed perfect. The staff were really friendly and the room was really nice. They had everything ready in the room from the ironing board to cutlery. The hotel had a shuttle service and they took me to the hairdresser before my friend's wedding. The spa was nice with friendly staff. Yet, we eventually figured out the room was not so clean - with bugs on the 15th floor, we were a bit disappointed. I would like to think it was our unlucky day.

I stayed here four four nights at the end of August, visiting friends who live just down the road. From arrival to departure, the experience was excellent. It is the staff who really make the place. They are VERY friendly and professional, including the always-smiling doorm, the reception staff and the restaurant staff.

The rooms are modern, well designed and very, very large compared to most hotel rooms. Complimentary wifi is a good inclusion (I wish all hotels offered this). The pool and gym areas are also good. The pool is not as large as big resort-style hotels, but more than sufficient for cooling off after a day in the Bangkok rainy season or doing a few laps. Breakfast is very good, with everything you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. Oh yes, they know how to make espresso coffee too. There is a laundrette, which experienced travellers always appreciate.

I really liked the small size of the Siri Sathorn suites. With just 100 or so rooms the staff genuinely get to recognize you and make you feel at home. Many of the guests are long-stay business people, which is a good sign of the quality and value. The hotel also seemed quite full, unusual in the middle of a tourism crisis in Thailand.

The local area is really good. It's very central and one of the most expensive residential districts in the city. There are three or four good restaurants within 200 metres and a cheap and cheerful noodle bar right next door. The street is quiet (for Bangkok) except for the building work going on next door, already noted in several reviews. As long as you request a room away from the building work, there is no problem.

The night markets are a 10 minute walk away, as it the BTS. THE MRT is 5 minutes. If you are feeling lazy there is a complimentary shuttle to take you to these places and beyond.

I spend about three months of the year travelling for work, and this has been one of my favourite stays recently. In fact, I have booked to stay there again next weekend!

This is a great hotel in the centre of Bangkok. The location is great, on the Sala Daeng road, 5 minutes walk from the BTS station SalaDaeng and the underground trainstation. The same distance from Silom Road, one of the main nightlife districts of Bangkok. This is also the area of a few very good restaurants and some English pubs (I like Moly Malones very much, although he AC can be a little too cold in here).
I love Bangkok ; a very big city where you can find anything at any price. You can find very cheap shopping (but you need to bargain), but also very expensive shopping in the high end shopping malls like Paragon centre.
The Siri Sathorn hotel is just great. The rooms are very spacious, very clean. The room we stayed in had a LCD TV in the bedroom and one in the living room. Yes the rooms are big ; ours must have been over 70smq. There is a kitchen with free water (every day) and fresh complementary food when we arrived. The coffee and tea is for free as well. Every morning there was a newspaper waiting in our place.
The breakfast was a buffet (although he chef would make you any egg style plate you liked), but it didn’t really impress me. Maybe this is the only negative I can say about the place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I used the meeting room for free a few times.
There was internet available all through the hotel for free. The only thing you needed was a password, provided by reception. A big decent gym (must have been over 150smq), nice outdoor swimmingpool.
The restaurant was good. Although I normally don’t eat in my hotel, we had dinner here twice.
The prices were reasonable as well. For the room we paid around 4250 baht, which is an absolute bargain for the room we got. I have been travelling around quite a lot and this is one of the better hotels I have ever stayed in.
