i stayed at the palazzo as it was the official hotel of the event that i attended. my first impression of the hotel was like any other that i could think of when it comes to mid-ranged hotels in downtown bangkok; seedy, dark, smelly & lacks basic amenities. so imagine my surprise when i entered my room!

for starters, the room was large. it can easily fit 3-4 adults comfortably. i didn't get to check-out the facilities that are available for use. the event i attended required me to be out for most of the day so it was important for me that the room has to be comfortable. and it did, from the firm mattress to the plush pillows.

the room service menu though simple & limited in choices, was still good tasting (one does expect the quality of food to be good anywhere in bangkok), and the chefs in the palazzo does deliver the goods.

if there's any complaint that i may have of the hotel is that the language barrier can be a pain especially when you need to depend on reliability.

Room Tip: avoid road facing rooms. traffic noise can be really irritating.

Happened to stay at this hotel. Travelled for work purpose. Hotel rooms and cleanliness is average. Advantage is affinity to few malls. Attended conference hosted in the same hotel. Food was ok. Found reception staff a bit non receptive. another advantage is the super market store and a thai massage centre just opposite to the hotel.Overall neutral experience.

Reach Bangkok on the 4th Nov and had two superior room reserved.... Me and my friend still find Palazzo the most convenient and appropriate hotel to be in and Ratchadapisek area near Huay Kwang station is very convenient..... we have decided that our future stay will always be in Palazzo..... staff are friendly and bell hop are efficient and courteous and helpful.... some of breakfast dishes should change once a while and not the same dishes every morning.... overall our 5days and four nights stay is great and looking forward to staying in Palazzo in the future

Room Tip: Any room is quiet.....

I've stayed at this hotel 4 times including this last weekend. In reality, this is a great small little hidden place with reasonable rates. 1600 Baht a night. Great access to subway and also other Thai massage facilities like the Lemongrass however this time, the rooms are in need of upgrades.

I had a room with live cockroach running underneath the TV and lots of bugs so I changed rooms hoping that it was the one incident.

The other room had bugs and a failed hot water supply. Gosh, I didnt expect it to turn downhill so fast. In the morning, I did see a great deal of tour groups, maybe business has turned to the groups so service, cleanliness and upkeep has not been up to par.

Regrettable, I will have to find a better hotel next time.
Oh yes, the bed was "LIKE A ROCK", was there even a mattress?

a favorite amongst Malaysian golfers as you don't have to go to the city to enjoy what BKK has to offer. was given a room in the vip wing. very spacious but bare room. breakfast was no big deal and the staff in the restaurant are not very reflective of the Land of Smiles.

24 hrs room massage is provided. however many are also within walking distance which explains why the property is popular amongst golfers.

also within walking distance is the Robinson's mall, the famed Emmanuel and other entertainment outlets.

I booked a room a the Palazzo because it was close to one of Bangkok's much talked about Dental Clinics. People from many parts of the world stay here because it is easy walking distance to inexpensive dental work that can be performed in Thailand.

The hotel itself was average with regard to comfort and atmosphere. The room was decent size, not too cramped and the downstairs lobby offered wide space to sit and dine or hang out to spend some free time out of the room. The restaurant on site offered several types of food to choose from and the food was delicious. I had no problems with the food. It was eclectic (wide variety) with regard to the choices of food. The staff were helpful also.

Room Tip: Placed a "Very Good" on location because of it's proximity to the dental clinic.

I joined a studio room in the new section of the hotel, everithig was perfect. Nice staff always at your disposal in any case or suggestions. Good park service. Internet connection is quite expensive, the nearest 7 eleven is locatad in front of the main entrance.
