“Great value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

Greta little hotel, in a very handy location to transport and shopping.
Seven Eleven close by, plenty of cafe's and restuarants that are nearby.
Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Rooms are a little tired but great value.

This is my second stay at Mido Hotel, Bangkok from 1-5 June 2013. Mido still the best hotel that really give us the pleasure stay.
Front desk staff, bell boy, and even security are all very helpful and they always serves with smile. Front desk staff could speak chinese, english and thai and they could simply provide you any information about the surrounding attraction......and most important is you must try to get the name of the places that you are going in (Thai) or ask them to talk to the taxi driver in thai because most of the taxi driver do not understand english.
In house massage available at 3rd floor, and swimming pool at 4th floor. Wifi in room also available for free. Restaurant at ground floor which is just located next to the front desk.
The cleanliness is perfect. You can get the taxi, motorbike taxi, or tuk-tuk within 5 sec at the main road or you may ask the staff to call a taxi for you.
Money exchange also available at front desk but personally recommend you to change it at any money chnager which is just few steps walk from this hotel to get a better exchange rate.
The only problem of this hotel is, it is not recommend for handicapped people because it is still lack of handicapped facilities.
Overall, it is an excellent hotel.

Room Tip: All deluxe room at 10th floor are non-smoking room.

How can this be allowed to happen anywhere? Why is the Mido Hotel Bangkok behaving border line RACIST? This would never be allowed in the UK, USA, OR Australasia. And I'm sure in Europe. My Wife called to make the booking. Fine at (1000THB) for the night.
Anyway a little later we arrived at the checkin desk, and to my shock the Receptionist told my Wife who is Thai, that we would have to pay (500THB) more for the room because I am (Farang, Western) Disgusting that this can be allowed to happen. one to stay clear of.

This hotel has all the amenities needed for a business traveller. Even the smaller rooms are equipped with a desk and work table, and it's the only hotel I've found in the area with free Wi-Fi. The staff is top notch and attentive to your needs. I've found that hotel service generally reflects the quality of management, and clearly the management at the Mido Hotel is at the top of their game. Front desk service is professional and cordial, always with a smile. The complimentary breakfast tries to cover both Thai and western taste, and does a good job at this. I didn't have a chance this trip to try the Thai Massage on the 3rd floor, but intend to do so when I return in a few months. All things considered, I can't think of one thing I didn''t like about the Mido Hotel.

Room Tip: The matress firmness varies from room to room, so verify the one you get is satisfactory before acce...

I'm really impressed by teh management team from this hotel which is the manager would really provides me any information from A-Z for every enquiries regarding my stays at this hotel. They are really excellent especially the booking information and enquiries services which I never experience from any hotel around the world even 5 stars hotel but Mido is the 1st and the only one. I'm really appreciate what they provided all the facilities and services. Alsom the hotel location just right in the center of Bangkok, therefore its very convenient for the hotel guest to access to any attraction places from here, Chatuchak (weekend market), Pratunam (All types and cheapest price for clothes especially for ladies-its the valuable shopping paradise for ladies which I can guarantee), Silom (Night life) and many other attractions.

The hotel rooms quite big and very clean. Swimming pool at 4th floor, massage at 3rd floor. Convenient store or many shops just nearby this hotel. You can simply get a taxi without 5 seconds........

I would strongly recommend to anyone who make their trips to Bangkok, make sure Mido Hotel would be your first choice for your stays here in Bangkok. You'll find the greatest hospitality as what I can guarantee you. Enjoy your stays here as much as I experience it.

Mido Hotel would be my choice for every trips that I make to Bangkok for sure.

I have stayed in this hotel for four days with my family (Wife and 2 children) . The location is good ..(in the sense for those who like centrally located hotels) . Its not a great luxury kind of hotel, but its really very good. We had a big suite (2 Rooms+ Living Room : Room Nos 625 and 627) , which was really excellent, WORTH EVERY PENNY !! Our stay was very comfortable.

No much variety in Break Fast menu.

It is surprising, though, that very limited staff speaks English ... This is not done, especially when you have international visitors, at least the front desk should speak and understand English .. because its a Global Language.

There are markets and malls are quite nearby .. (Jatu Jak Market, Big C Mall, J J Mall etc area is easily accessible at a cost of Max 40-60 Bath one way). Overall daily need shops are also in the vicinity.

To conclude, I may think of re entering this hotel, in my next trip to BKK !!

I recently stayed at the Mido Hotel in Bangkok Thailand. The hotel was clean and had guards stationed inside as well as outside of the hotel. A free breakfast buffet was included with the price of the hotel room (~ $30 USD for double occupancy). I felt for this price the hotel was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and the front desk employees were friendly and helpful. I would definitely reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in Bangkok.
