My friend and stumbled upon this oasis purely by accident but it was our lucky day. The hotel is truly beautiful with a strong focus on friendly, comfortable service with greetings and a smile at every turn. True Thai tradition and style. I truly felt it an honor to stay here.

Not only do I rate this hotel as excellent, I will certainly be returning to Bangkok soon and I will not consider staying anywhere else but here. The location is in the heart of downtown Bangkok, walking distance to Patpong. We had the fortune of working with the owner Kamonporn Bundityanond, Ph.D. whose hospitality was inspiring. The staff from top to bottom was one of the best I have ever seem and there truly is a family atmosphere.

I could go on and on........

We have now stayed in the Siam Heritage 7 times in the past 3 years. It is an excellent hotel and we are treated as friends by the staff. Lovely big rooms, this year we were upgraded to a suite and that was truly something else!!! Great breakfast that sets you up for the day and they also do great food if you can't get it together to go and wander in the evening. Lovely pool area on the top of the hotel and a welcoming bar area. You can also have a massage and if you book direct they give you 15 minutes for free. Two drawbacks - the rooms can be dark [furniture and no views] and no free wi-fi!! But all in all a great escape from the noise and heat of a days shopping in Bangkok [skytrain station 5 minutes waslk] given the hotel is just around the corner from Patpong Market.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights in Dec. 2009. I find it to be an average hotel and I don't agree with many of the other reviewers. Our room was acceptable, nothing special; actually a little dark. We faced another building, so no light came through the window and the lighting in the room was low. Same with the bathroom . It was a nice size, but a bit dingy. There was no free wifi. The breakfast buffet was good and had a nice selection. The location is convenient to transportation, but we did not like the neighborhood.
I would not recommend this hotel. I believe there are other much nicer hotels to be found in the same price range that might have a nicer atmosphere.

The Presidential Suite for $135 per nights was a bargain - big as a 1 bedroom self contained unit. Service exceptionally friendly. Booked on-line and received FREE internet access in the deal, 2 x 15 mins neck/shoulder massages and complimentary drinks upon arrival. For location, atmosphere and service you couldn't fault it for the price.

I reviewed Trip Advisor extensively looking for a hotel in Bangkok. Although I had attempted to book other hotels that looked appealing for booking before reserving at Siam Heritage, in the end The Siam Heritage was an excellent choice. It is an absolutely lovely hotel. The staff was kind and informed. Very responsive and very helpful. We stayed four nights there, and it was excellent.

The breakfast buffet is terrific. The hotel's restaurant is very nice. The location is pretty good--close to the Sky Train which helped us get to the Express Boat at the Central Pier easily. It's also around the corner from the Papang Night Market and a couple of blocks from the red-light district (if you're into that).

Regarding the travel desk--because I know some people made comments about it below--just be a wise traveler. Negotiate with the manager. Everything in BKK is a negotiation. Don't take the first price they offer. And don't take a tuk tuk! They all have personal motives to where they'll bring you (i.e. they get paid a commission to bringing you to a long-tail boat launch or a restaurant that they recommend. It's usually much hirer priced than you should be paying.).

But back to the hotel. The pool is lovely as is the hot tub and the roof-top bar. Siam Heritage is an oasis in the crazy city that BKK is. I'd stay there again.

The hotel located on Surawong road where is just a minute walk to Patpong. There are many restaurants, bars, currency exchange, foot massage, beauty salons, and tailors around hotel. About 15 mins walk to Sky train and Silom street. So great location for dining out, shopping, and entertaining. Very nice decoration from lobby throughout hallway and guest room.

We stayed in Executive room (with pantry). The weird thing is this pantry come with cook-top but no pottery and cutlery?!? The pantry is located at the end of bed, so every time I get up I feel like I am sleeping in kitchen. TV (limited channel) on the right of our bed, so uncomfortable to watch. Lastly, the room has big window with unbelievable view! We only see the wall from next building for our stay, also little sunlight to the room. Not good for a daytime person.
