I stayed in this hotel for a short visit during Nov 2013. it was a transit for my Krabi diving visit. The hotel was not easy to find, you have to carefully watch the road to find it. Also be careful because a few meters down the road, there is a Best Western hotel with exactly the same name. The Best Western is more expensive but of course has more amenitites.

Pro
1. The price was very reasonable. It comes with breakfast which is Thai cuisine mostly which is fine with me since I love Thai food. Breakfast is served on the top floor which has to be accessed by stairs after the lift reaches the top floor.
2. The room is ok with a working ac, a small tv with most Thai channels, a small bathroom. Nothing fancy.

ons
1. There is only 1 lift and it is quite old so you might have to wait if the hotel is quite full
2. The street is a bit quietmeaning there is no shops but a few meter away you can find some restaurants. But there is not much although you can get a taxi to the nearest mall.

All in all not a bad hotel to stay for a short visit.

I stayed here for 2 days. We were allotted room on the 6th floor and so got a nice view of the city. The room was very clean, nothing to complain about the amenities. Bathroom was cleaner than the one in Pattaya where we stayed. You have cabs available outside, waiting for you anytime. It is near from all the major attractions in Bangkok city.

You can opt for a 2 seater rickshaw if you are 2 people, affordable than the taxi. The only minus point is the restaurant, small and nothing much in the menu. Vegetarians will get only couple of options and that too very costly. Not to blame, as food is very costly everywhere in Thailand.

Room Tip: Good hotel to stay for budget travelers.

The room was a good size and there was a decent fridge and a safe in the room. Here is a list of the bad points -
1)AC was rubbish - the room was boiling
2)There is no fitness centre at this hotel even though booking.com & their own website says there is - there was no apology when we asked for an explanation
3)Website & Booking.com says checkout is 14:00 when it is 12:00-reception even called us at 11am & asked us to check out earlier than 12.
4)Breakfast - ran out of eggs at 9.30 - we had to demand they make more - the only other option was Indian food
5)Sign in elevator says to ask reception for a taxi & not just get 1 outside so we did & they refused & told us to flag one down ourselves
6)This hotel allows prostitutes (although it warns of the dangers in the elevator) so there is a lot of noise in the corridors at night
7)Location is rubbish - there is a 7 11 down the road but all the sights of Bangkok are miles away & it is so hard to find a taxi prepared to go to this hotel on the metre so you either end up paying loads or spend an hour searching for a metre taxi
8)The shower was powerful & hot but wouldn't stay on the wall so I had to hold the shower in 1 hand while i showered
On checkout we asked to speak to a manager about all these points but there was no manager there so I have no choice but to leave a bad review

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else

The property was great..decently sized rooms, good AC, clean toilets & nice beds.Only drawback for this hotel is that it is slightly far off from the main city. Places like MBK Mall, Pratnunam Market & others are slight far off, but the Taxi is handful and should not charge more than 80 THB for these places. Patpong Market is close by 50THB for Taxi. Overall a nice place to stay & recommended for travellers.

The hotel was very clean and has got silent ambience. It was economical and we got good Indian food in this hotel,as they have Indian chef to serve us. Complimentary breakfast provided was also good. Very good hotel.

Room Tip: We got a room in the 7th floor and the view was very good.

We were put up in Howard Square Boutique Hotel on the 30, 31st of Aug & 1st of Sept 2013 by MakeMyTrip package to Bangkok, Pattaya.

We were charged 900 bhts during offseason for overstaying a couple of hours (a little upset because of that too). We had a note from the hotel desk that the cab to the airport would arrive at 4:00 PM & hence thought we could stay at our room till 3:00 PM.
It seems we were to checkout (@12 PM) and sit in the lobby for 4 hours till our cab arrived. OUR package did not seem to mention that (makemytrip) & I was expected to 'KNOW IT'

The hotel is far away & you would need to take a cab even if you want to buy SOAP. I mention SOAP because room service did not clean up and we ran out of SOAP and the hotel refused to give us this tiny tiny piece saying we are to checkout today

My friend got locked in the bathroom (inferior locks) for an hour, the hotel staff did not have keys & forced open the door at 2:00 AM. For this, they say ' inconvenience is regretted". NO CHARGES PAID FOR INCONVENIENCE

We found a dead insect in the food served. Again, conveniently communicated that the vegetables must have carried the insect. And somehow it seemed like the insect had committed the crime getting into food

Also, please ensure (photograph) bedsheets, towels etc do not look soiled. YOU might have to pay for NEW TOWELS for the OLD soiled ones. Actually, you could buy two for the charges that they ask for

They asked for the police to come when we refused to pay. Police ofcourse saw reason and permitted us to leave without paying (except for the late checkout)

Room Tip: Far Away from CITY or anyplace worth visiting Rude staff. they wanted to grab as much money as they...
