I stayed at the bally for a few weeks recently and it was good value.good internet, small pool but nice small gym but everything is working.for around 1160 baht it is good value for sukhumvit.
The downside is that breakfast is far to expensive 220 baht and in general the restaurant is a non event which is a shame as it is a nice room.
I think it is a case of far to many appartments in Bangkok and prices are always low if you look hard enough. My friends where paying far more on long term rentals 10 years ago to what the price is today.

Room Tip: naturally the new rooms are better but more expensive

Bally Studios I'd a hidden diamond of a hotel tucked away on a quiet one way street in soi 20 Sukhumvit. This is a top hotel with cheap rates. The place is spotless and the staff are great especially the girls at reception speak great English and will do anything to make your stay better. Always smiling and great you everytime.
They have a swimming pool on the roof which is also spotless like very inch of this hotel. You won't regret staying here.

It was a nice experience in Bally Studio located in the Sukhumvit street. The rooms are clean and spacious just like the American hotels. Thailand is famous for spa and massage and this hotel has this service for a bit beyond the normal price but you are paying for the comfort. They have a nice pool and a nice workout room just next to the pool.

So why it is almost nice... Usually hotels or studio type rooms when you request for room service, especially when you request for another set of towels (by the way every Bally suite room has 2 bath towels in the bathroom) to replace the used ones, the hotel management should provide you one, right? But not this place. The Bally staff said that it's in their "policy" to provide only two towels per day. Guess we have to reuse the towels until next day.

Room Tip: It depends on your preference. Some suite rooms doesn't have bathtub, so check if it's one o...

The Bally's Studio Suites are located at the end of a small road (Soi 11) so you feel like you escape the noise and chaos of the street while also being close to everything. The hotel itself has a basic setup with nicely sized suites (fridge, sink, plates and cups and a water heater in addition to the bed and bathroom.

The hotel staff are very friendly and made me feel welcome, especially the doorman! He was always there ready to open the door with a smile, and he would also hail a taxi as soon as you asked. On my final taxi hail, he opened the door of the car and then gave me a hi-five. It was a nice gesture that concluded a pleasant stay at Bally's Studio Suites.

Like many places, the hotel is close to the sky train and a good place to stay if you are looking to see the touristy things in Bangkok.

Just returned from a 3 nights stay in Bally and i would recommend to everyone going to bangkok. This hotel is about 10mins walk away from BTS but hotel provide complimentary tuk tuk to there so no worries about it. It is walking distance to sukhumvit area like soi cowboy, nana & my favourite Club Insanity but quiet at night without all the traffic noise from the main street.

I booked the deluxe suite room for about SGD60 per night but it was well worth the value as the room is big, nice with a little balcony for smokers like me. Bed was just nice, shower room big but sometime the hot water is not that good but for place like bangkok you do not need that as the weather is hot enough. Air-con powerful as compared to other hotels in bangkok and unable to adjust it as i change it to 30degrees but it is still very cold so i switch it off in the middle of the night.

Staff are all nice and warm, greeting me whenever i walk pass reception. Bellman always salutes u when u going in & out of hotel and he helps with taxi too! Housekeeping staffs are always ready to clean your room as whenever i go out i ask to make up room by the time i go back the room is smelling good again.

Overall great stay and will definitely return again when i go back bangkok!!

Room Tip: If you don't like to walk maybe this is not the hotel for you but for people that likes to walk...

I love exploring the wide range of hotels available in Bangkok for many reasons, chief among them the superb bargains available in comparison with other major world cities.

Bally's Studio Suites is located at the very end of Soi 20 Sukhumvit - just far enough (about a 5-minute walk) from Sukhumvit itself that it's away from the hustle and bustle of that main thoroughfare, but still connected with everything.

The rooftop "infinity"-type pool is very nice, and affords a great evening view of the city. Pool towels are conveniently located at the entrance, from the small excercise room on the 6th floor (the "Honeymoon Suite" is also located up here, completely separated from the rest of the hotel).

The staff is extremely friendly and courteous, without being fawning. The room I stayed in (514) is a comparatively spacious suite, to which I was upgraded free of charge simply by asking for a room on a high floor. The bed was a tad on the hard side, but many (including myself) actually appreciate that. There's a flat-panel TV, but if you came to Bangkok to watch TV, you have other problems to worry about.

The room is spotless, with a VERY small (like, 1-person) balcony outside, with a rather drab view, although I can tell from the roof that many other rooms have much better city-wide views. Large walk-in shower, modern bathroom fixtures, a microwave, a small heating element (like a mini electric stove) and dishes/utensils. Plenty of closet space, and a free electric SAFE inside. The mini bar is stocked with beer, soft drinks and water - no hard alcohol.

Breakfast may be included if you choose that rate, which is slightly higher. I went for the room sans breakfast, but bought it anyway on the first day. It's serviceable, but not special - fruit was OK but not spectacular. The other hot items were underwhelming, as was the coffee. However - there's such an amazing variety of breakfast options everywhere you look in this town, I wouldn't let a standard morning offering here dissuade you.

Walk to the shops on Sukhumvit, or stay on this "back street" for some really splendid meals and Japanese and German restaurants (see my review of Izakaya Hanjo Japanese restaurant 200 meters from the hotel, elsewhere on TripAdvisor). And of course, the ubiquitous "street food" that offers untold delights for those with the adventurous spirit.

All in all, a great bargain - at a price that wouldn't cover the ROOM TAX in Helsinki.

Room Tip: This hotel is so affordable that it's well worth spending a bit more for one of the suites with...

It's my third visit to bally's studio suites but my first with my 10 months old baby.
The location is good the service good as well, but they don't provide baby cod or baby chairs. Even thought the staff is really helpfull and they try to give the best costumer service.
In general is a good place to stay in Bangkok.
