“Lovely boutique hotel close to everything.”
Reviewed 6 August 2014 via mobile

We stayed at Casa Nithra for two nights and found it to be a very friendly lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious and modern (built Feb 2014) and the rooftop pool is lovely after a day of walking in the heat. This hotel is a must stay.

I was so pleased to be responsible for booking Casa Nithra, especially with all the choice available in Bangkok. For the price we paid for our room for 3 nights I was really thrilled with how clean and luxurious the room was. We had booked a suite facing away from the main road (room 505) with a big stand alone egg bath in the centre of the bathroom. When we arrived they had filled the bath and put rose petals in it, and a big heart shaped towel on the bed, again filled with rose petals. It was our honeymoon, and I'm glad we didn't go to the expense of staying in one of the expensive river-front hotels, this felt more personal and really was a pleasure to stay in. The shower was great, the bed was large and comfortable, and everything was sparkling clean.
On arrival we were given cold towels and a drink whilst we checked in. The staff were so friendly, there was one day it rained really heavily, and we were greeted with a towel as we arrived back at the reception which I thought was really nice.
I would highly recommend this hotel, as it was close enough to places, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. My family stayed in a hotel on Khaosan road - I don't think they got much sleep! It was about 10mins walk to khaosan road, and one day we jumped in a tuk tuk for only 100baht; it was alot of fun. We got a taxi to chatuchak market for 150baht (was quite a distance for the price) and 100baht in a tuk tuk to the Grand Palace. It is not too close to the sky train, but everything we wanted to visit was close enough - grabbing a taxi outside or walking; so we were happy.
The only gripes I have are very small and would not deter me from staying again on return to Bangkok -
the wifi is very mean at 2.5MB allowance, but the PCs downstairs in reception are free to use and I took advantage of this.
The poor guy working in the bar and restaurant was running around like a headless chicken, they really need to employ more staff to help him. We had to wait for 40mins for a drink in the bar, which is a very long time. I am usually quite a patient person, but I could see others getting annoyed. This is not the member of staffs fault though - he was very busy. I felt quite sorry for him in fact.
We had a meal in the restaurant one of the nights and was surprised to see our main meals were sat on the side for the whole time we were eating our starters, getting cold - this is not good practice.
All in all, a great hotel which I would recommend to friends and family visiting Bangkok in the future.

Room Tip: Go for a suite with a bath - much larger room and worth the extra few pounds- Room 505 is on top the...

Everything about Casa Nithra was very good to perfect. All of the staff is very friendly and willing to help.
Our room was very nice and clean. We loved the modern and traditional Thai style combined.
The rooftop pool is very nice to enjoy some rest after a warm day of Bangkok.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Nithra. The hotel is clean, well appointed and modern and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool, although small, was well kept and clean. The location was about 20 mins walk from Koh San Road, but it was very easy to get a tuk-tuk or taxi to other parts.

The food in the hotel was EXCELLENT and I highly recommend the Thai menu there. Breakfast was good too (although a bit cramped in the dining room)

My only complaint would be that the resources in the room (tea, coffee, powdered milk, sanitary bags, ear buds etc) were not replaced once used, we had to call reception several times to get replacements for these things.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Was an excellent location for us, never a problem to find a tuk tuk or cab. The rooms very clean and luxurious and the staff were very helpful and lovely. The roof top swimming was also a highlight. Would recommend to others.

We stayed 3 nights. Rooms looked lovely and clean but there was a really heavy smell of air freshener in the rooms which was masking a rotten odour coming from the air con. We all got sore throats and felt lousy for the entire stay and all immediately felt better upon leaving. The staff did change our rooms but the odour and heavy use of air freshener persisted. After a number of heated exchanges with staff an offer of dropping the charge for one room for one night and a promise that the hotel manager would contact us to discuss the matter. Upon checkout full price was charged and manager never bothered to get in touch. I think something crawled into the aircon system and died and rather than sort it out the hotel's approach was to douse the rooms in air freshener. My mother and her friend who are in their late 60's were with us and developed acute respiratory symptoms. This was supposed to be a little bit of luxury for them at the end of our trip. Avoid this place if you enjoy breathing.

I am glad that you enjoyed certain aspects of your stay and would like to offer my unreserved apologies for those parts that did not reach your expectations.
I have had a serious discussion with front office manager and hotel manager for this matter.
Our management team reported they immediately solved the problem by the first have to change room and investigated by brainstorming and sent emergency team to find that, second, the front manager with their team closing to follow this matter with you and need your information what's your allergies? and need you to see hospital doctor.
I would like to offer my unreserved apologies for those parts again and sincere apologies.

We started our 6 week backpacking tour of se asia at this hotel. We will definitely check in again before our return flight. The place is amazing. Loved the bathroom, how quiet the room was and how central it is, very close (10 minute walk) to khaosan road. Swimming pool on the roof is the jewel in the crown. Best value for money in Bangkok
