We spent there the first three nights of our honeymoon and we had wonderful time: the hotel is run by a family and they are very kind and helpful.
The location is just perfect: river view in the middle between the Grand Palace and Wat Rakhang...I suggest you to stay here having dinner one night because the home made food is just amazing.

Amazing!!! We were looking for a unique place to experience Thailand for the first time and Inn a Day completely met and surpass our expectations :) - The rooms are all unique with an urban feeling but with soul and heart! We had the 2PM room which is inspired in a hair salon, with cool head-dryer like lamps, nice wall paintings but if that wasn’t enough what really stole our hearts was the view! It was simply out of this world to be able to wake up and see Wat Arun in its entire splendour on the other side of the river, it was so calm and beautiful we'll never forget :). At night the temple was lit up and we just loved siting on the balcony and having a drink while looking the peaceful boats passing by … perfect way to relax after a busy day in the temples and crazy busy Bangkok streets :) - The location is also superb (if you are on a sightseeing trip maybe not so much for shopping as it's not that close - not far either - to the shopping malls), it's within 5 mins walking from Wat Pho (house of the reclining Buddha) and 10 more to the grand palace, it's also 5 mins walking to the pier to get boats to Wat Arun ...it’s on a small VERY Thai lane which is a bit … don’t know weird looking at first, but don’t let it upset you as the hotel is a gem hidden at the end of it … and at the end of the day if you’re travelling all the way to Bangkok why not to experience it’s authentic lanes too :) - To add to it the owners are just great (it’s a family run hotel), they do everything they can to make you feel welcome, the breakfast was amazing (we picked the Thai one but they also offer a more western-like option), cooked to order was fresh full with the Thai flavours everybody loves and so big! ... fresh fruit and fruit juices and even flower juices! We also had dinner one night and it was WONDERFUL! We’d recommend it to everyone!! We’d definitely love to come back!

Pd.Just a note for the more traditional of you ... If you are of the type that loves the typical tall building, white-wall room hotels maybe this is not for you, but if you are happy to push your traditional style and experience something different and amazing then by all means this is the right place to do so.

Room Tip: Pick a room with view and balcony! It's definitely worth the view to the SPECTACULAR Wat Arun.

I am not one that usually writes reviews, so it must be a special place for me to open a trip advisor account. After reading the reviews and booking this hotel we had high expectations and wow did this place deliver. We arrived in Bangkok in the middle of coup with a curfew of 10pm in place across Thailand. Arriving at the hotel at 9.30 we found the hotel tucked down a little alleyway, on arrival we were welcomed by the friendliest two brothers who could not help enough. Check in was a delight and when they took us up to our room and opened the door to a dark room illuminated by the glow of Wat Arun opposite we were sure we had made the right choice. The room was fantastic, we had the salon style, an old hair heater has been converted into a very cool reading light by the bed. We settled down for a few beers in the bar downstairs before the brothers recommended the roof terrace to relax, two huge bean bags over looking Wat Arun makes you forget about the 10pm curfew and missing out on Bangkoks usual antics.
The guys seem to know exactly what you want and need at any time and no question/request is too much for them.
On check out we were waved off in out taxi which is a fantastic feeling as it makes you feel as though they have truly enjoyed having you stay, which you never feel with the large chains.
The only issue is the bathroom does not give much privacy, so for new couples it could be one of those opportunities to break down all their barriers and embarrassments.
Keep up the good work guys, we will definitely be back to see you again.

Room Tip: Make sure to book a room facing the river, you might not ever want to leave it.

My wife and I only spent a weekend there, the family who run this place is very friendly, the place is very well decorated and it makes a great change from big hotel chains, we were lucky to get a room with the most beautiful view of Wat arun, just across the Chao Praya.

Such a perfect place to stay! Big thank you to Golf and his team (family?) for making our tip to bangkok. Loved the room and the view. Next time we will look to upgrade to the room with the bath in the middle!

My family had visited this small hotel yesterday. We had a great time there even though we just been there for the view and beverage as we are local.
The restaurant's atmosphere is nice, decorated and intentionally designed to show historical of family business.
To see the view of the pagoda, you have to stay in particular rooms. If you just dinner there, you have to climb up to 3rd floor. Anyway, totally worth it!!
However, the location of the hotel is excellent not only because of the view, it is only <0.5km to the grand palace and wat Po (temple of sleeping Buddha)
