Very friendly and helpful staff. The pool and garden are an oasis of calmness in this big city. Located in a quiet street with a 10 minute walk to the next Skytrain/metro station. Plenty of good local near the hotel.
Just one down size: air conditions in the room are of an older model and relatively loud.
Nevertheless to be recommended. I would stay there again.

The Eugenia Hotel is a late 19th Century colonial style hotel full of old world charm and complete with vintage cars for transfers. Our room (206) had a four poster bed with antique furniture and dark wooden floors. Quality linen on the bed was a welcome luxury after a 10 hour flight. Bath times were made fun by the vintage, free-standing bathtubs fashioned in copper like out of a 1960's western movie. There was a variety of cold soft drinks and water in the room which were complimentary. The breakfast was lovely and included pastries, toast, fruits, coffee & teas. Eggs benedict was cooked to order! The pool area is a great place to unwind from your travels with a tea or coffee or in my case a Long Island Iced tea or 2. While sitting by the pool there was a fashion shoot for a Elle magazine in progress, due to the hotels amazing charm and quirky antiques it lends itself to being an ideal location for photographic shoots. The Eugenia has also appeared in other magazines such as Vogue. Complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Located in a quiet Soi of Sukumvit Road the nearest BTS station is Asoke (good 15 minute walk), but that’s the price of relative seclusion in the middle of the city. A big thanks to Olga and her staff for making our time at the Eugenia special. Staying at this Hotel is an wonderful experience and anything but ordinary. A great spot for couples and single travellers of all ages to base themselves keen to explore Bangkok. Tip: The hotel is centrally located however the soi it is on does a few dog legs and this made it difficult for the taxi to find. Book in one of the vintage cars for your arrival transfer, that solves that problem.

I stayed in the Eugenia Hotel together with my boyfriend for a couple of nights. The hotel is well situated in the nice neighbourhoud Sukhumvit and close to the metro and skytrain. What I specially liked about this hotel that it's luxorious but not so business like the big chains. They have a small amount of rooms which makes it feel like your home, especially with the friendly staff. The english colonial design is lovely, but that might be a matter of taste.

The restaurant aside of the hotel serves very good Thai as well as French food and I'm still looking elsewere in Thailand where they can beat their great porridge and french toast for breakfast.

I can absolutely recommend this place.

The Eugenia - I really loved this place! Everything about this hotel is nice: rooms, food, spa, area itself. The staff was totally friendly - either the locals or the Russian manager Olga.
If you're looking for something different then the Eugenia is just for you. You will definately enjoy it there.
Next time when I'm in Bangkok I will stay at this lovely place for sure.

My wife and I, and two of our adult children, stayed in total one week in Bangkok, and had booked two rooms in the Eugenia. The Eugenia advertise themselves with "It is not a hotel, it is a home" and righty so - it is indeed an old house, with a very warm / traditional English style interior and atmosphere - maybe a bit Victorian. So if you are looking for a clean and good hotel without too much character, you must find an Ibis or Mercure type of hotel, not the Eugenia.
The rooms are big enough and have good beds and ample facilities. The bathroom is also fine, with the aluminium bathtub as a very original element. Location is good, in the busy Sukhumvit district, with public transport (Asik station) and important shopping centres (Terminal 21) nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves a limited, but very nice and good selection of food, both for breakfast and for dinner. One final element that is noteworthy, is the excellent swimming pool - a welcome cool off after a hot city day.

The room I stayed is spacy wooden interior and comfortable. The staff are nice and friendly. They are trying to support the guest needs. The hotel is not like a new skyscraper type hotel, but you may feel like good old days colonial style one.

It is of great vintage style with cozy set up. Rooms are special but too noisy because of loud a/c and traffic on street right out of window. location is wonderful. Staff are nice, warming, except the restaurant staff. Compare to price, it is a very good choice!

Room Tip: the rooms by street are noisy so choose the ones at garden side if they have such rooms.
