Quite far from sight seeing areas and shopping.
Very limited shuttle service & taxi drivers had problems finding the hostel.

We stayed here at the beginning of our 9 month trip, the staff's English isn't amazing (not a problem) but they were the most helpful staff we have come across yet - very friendly and always there to offer advice on how to get to places etc.

The hotel is a little way out of Bangkok but they offer free lifts and mini tours depending on what room you stay in (not for dorms I think)

They also have a beautiful rooftop pool, which is lovely to swim in early evening with views over the Bangkok skyline.

The rooms are very clean, spacious and they were very reasonable - also the food is delicious, esp the coffee! They have facilities for washing your clothes, a kitchen area and free wifi and use of computers.

They have several huge balconies full of flowers and plants that are lit up at night which are nice and quiet.

All-in-all we would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying there again very soon.

The service in the hostel was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was a little small, especially for a wheelchair user like me. The ramp in front of the hostel was too steep for the wheelchair. For sightseeing in Bangkok the hostel is a little too far outside, so that it takes very long to get into the center.
What I liked the best in your hostel was that you are growing your own salad in the glasshouse on the top floor. And we also enjoyed the roof-deck, the swimming pool and the nice view with the palm trees and the sunset from up there very much, which makes the hostel a real escape from the busy city.

This was a good place to rest up from 22 hours travel to Thailand. Great coffee, great salads, neighborhood night market near by. Not downtown or near tourist zone, I think this is good but could be an issue. I will stay here again.

It's a homey place, cozy, and convenient with spacious rooms and availability of the swimming pool. Our room neatly maintained over our six days stay. With these, I felt relaxed after a long day touring and shopping expeditions. Only problem, transport accessibility with one bus line plying the area. Could not get taxis to the hostel. Still, I will recommend the hostel to my son on his forthcoming honeymoon... and to my friends in the office.

Watch out for their web site and the amount they overcharge to stay at this hotel including a taxi pickup at the airport. It's a complete overcharge and a rip off. Plus the taxi driver will take you to a gas station and pretend he doesn't have enough money to get you to the hotel. Then he doesn't have enough money for the highway tolls. As is the charges are way over and above what is reasonable in Thailand. This is a complete waste of time - if can even get to the hotel and it's way overpriced. Also the hotel does not print their address, so you really don't know where you are going. It's not near downtown at all.

Have stayed at this place twice a year for six years. Love the Thai neighborhood... no farang! and no english (the staff does speak excellent english though). The drawback is the distance from downtown, local buses connect you to the sky train but it's a bit of a workout. If you like being self sufficient and winging it while ordering food then you will love it out here - night markets abound but don't expect any english on the menu (cause there won't be a menu). The hostel is more of a hotel than a hostel and has a great vibe, excellent rooftop and fantastic rooms. If you LOVE Ko San Road please stay down there. Cheers!
