Nice hotel overall. Would recommend this.

Pros:
Clean, spacious room. There is a large window and so it adds on to the "spacious" feeling.
Bathroom is also spacious and clean.
Location is great as it is near to the Shumkuvit's tourist centers (with lots of restaurants, etc) but it is not in the center of crowded area. It is also close to Nana, the skytrain station so it is convenient to go around
Internet speed is fast

Cons:
Not much actually. Food from the restaurant is just okay (note that breakfast is not included) but you can always go to nearby restaurants. Also, the staff is not the friendliest in Thailand (note that, overall, I didn't find Thai people to be "full of smiles" and friendly anyway), but still acceptable

Very good value for money. We'd tried 3 hotels on previous visits and were not impressed by any of them.... then we found this one and have stopped hunting!!!
The rooms are good with free broadband included, lovely kingsize beds, DVD player. But the real bonus is the swimming pool. In Bangkok's high humidity heat it's a real lifesaver... especially on those days when to walk the streets in the midday sun is nigh on impossible.
The only drawback to this hotel is it's restaurant. The staff and the decor are nice, but the food's average. However, there are so many restaurants nearby this isn't a problem.
As mentioned in many other reviews The Dynasty is central to everything in Bangkok. The Girly Bars of Soi Nana are a 2 minute walk, Sukhumvit and Nana Metro 5 mins walk.
We're returning in two weeks and can't wait.

The Dynasty Inn Grande is situated on Sukhumvit between Soi 4 and Soi 6, squeezed between the Sofitel Grande Sukhumvit and another property.

The rooms are spacious, with king size beds.
Internet is provided in the room, reception can give you an ethernet cable if you don't have one.

I especially liked the bathroom because it is very large, there is a tub and a shower cabin, and the air conditioning is not strong in the bathroom, which also is good point.

The pool is quite adequate. I didn't go to the gym.

There is really nothing I can fault the DIG with, other than the colors of the decoration are debatable.

The DIG does not charge for the first joiner, but will enforce a joiner fee of 800 baht for the third person in the room ;-)

Also, the breakfast is not included in the room rate. For 160 baht, a small breakfast can be had at their restaurant, but in my opinion the breakfast is not really enjoyable.

My wife and I stayed here in april 08. We were not a tight budget, but we were trying to keep spending under control during a very long stretch of travelling. The Dynasty Inn Grande presented a good option because the price was reasonable and the place looked good enough from their website.

When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel for a few reasons. First, the reception area and staff were very nice and helpful and we were checked in very quickly. This is fairly normal for Thai hotels, but we had a foul flight and taxi ride so their hospitality seemed even more welcoming.

The hotel's facilities are decent as well. The pool is nice, though a bit odd in location and the sun isn't on the deck area for a good portion of the day. The restaurant and food were ok, but room service was quick and cheap and their noodle soup was as good as places on the street.

The location is also good although not the best in town. Its very near Nana Plaza (if that's your thing) and also near the skytrain and there is also lots of nightlfe in the area (you can walk to places like cheap charlies, bed supperclub, cabbages & condoms to name a few). Its a bit of a dodgy walk from the hotel out to the main road, but not in a dangerous or offense way - especially if you don't want towards NEP).

Our room was nice enough with a comfortable bed and a big clean bathroom. To be honest, in the April heat, the decent room to come back to and relax was a big plus for us.

Overall, we were happy with our choice as a good blend of price and quality and would recommend to people who are of a similar mindset.

I've stayed at the Dynasty Grande on three separate trips to Bangkok (Jan. 07, July 07, Sept. 08), and been very satisfied each time. It's always been clean and comfortable, with an attentive and courteous staff. It's somewhat spartan in decor, but I like the clean simplicity of the rooms. As a small note, I appreciate the free high-speed Internet connection, for which many similar hotels are charging. The staff is friendly, and respond quickly to requests, whether for cleaning or room service.

The location is great (Sukhumvit Soi 6), being a very short walk from the Nana BTS, yet seeming relatively distant from the hustle and bustle of Sukhumvit, as well as the chaotic hubbub on neighboring Soi 4. The close proximity to Sukhumvit is good, in that the restaurant, while certainly competent, isn't very exciting, cuisine-wise. Many better dining choices however, are a only a block or two away.

I typically recommend Dynasty Grande to all my friends headed to Bangkok. At a price of around USD$70/night, it's a great, great bargain.
