“Great location!”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

The location is perfect and the staff is friendly. We love this area, good for people watching & cheap eats. The roof-top pool is nice & we enjoyed using it. The bathroom style is common in Asia, not sure why people are complaining about it. This is not a 5 star hotel & doesn't claim to be. Yes, there is a 1000 baht deposit which is refunded at check out. There are numerous sites/wats within walking distance or a short boat ride away. We would stay here again.

Stayed for several nights in January 2014. We got to the hotel from the international airport using a public taxi (ground floor airport) for an agree 450 baht. It took 40 minutes. It is across the road from Khao San Road. 2 minues walk. Down a small road with many market stalls and restaurants.
After the shock of the taxi stopping in a busy lane and the hotel not being so obvious, we walked past some shops into an oasis of calm. The rooms are clean and excellent value. The swimming pool is very refreshing after a day walking around Bangkok. After checkout we could leave the bags in a locked room for 20 baht. We didnt eat there. The street food outside is so cheap and deliscious we didnt feel the need.

This is a very large, modern hotel situation across the road from Koh San Road providing good accommodation and facilities in a secure setting and yet in a very convenient location. It had a very mixed clientele and a wide range of rooms available. Our room was quite basic with a double bed, fridge, shower and toilet although the shower was one that completely soaked the bathroom floor and you had to remember to put the lid down on the toilet to avoid it getting too wet. Linen was clean and quite new and there was a safety deposit box. We checked in around 2 pm and were dealt with very quickly but we did notice that after that time there always seemed to be big queues to check in. We also had to pay 1000 baht deposit which we were refunded on departure.

Our deal did not include breakfast but we paid an extra 200 baht each for a standard buffet in the hotel restaurant. One of the main features of the hotel is a rooftop swimming pool which was nice after a hot day exploring Bangkok. Lots of places to eat just outside the door and also lots of shopping around the hotel. Wifi was available in the room and was a reasonable speed. Generally quite good value for money if you want to be close to the action!

This place is well located and clean. The WiFi work only in the lobby. The staff at the front desk is can be quite stressed and not always helpful unfortunately . It's a very busy place but sometimes you will appreciate more when you are on holidays

Good place to stay but nothing out of the box to expect

This was the only place nearby the Khaosarn road area where I could get a free room for one night so I took it even the bad reviews on Tripadvisor.

The room was like not furnished, there was just a bed in it and a tiny around 50 years old television was hanging from the ceiling.

The "bathroom" is horrible, there is no curtain so if you having shower than the whole place flooding around you. And there was a COCKROACH head shown up to "say hi" from the sinker of the shower...YUCK

Stayed for 2 nights when we first arrived in Thailand. Good location; not right in the craziness of Khao San Road but only a few minutes away. Not noisy at night and room was clean. Rooftop pool is a bonus at the end of a sightseeing day!
Good value.

Located only a short distance from Khao San Road so perfect for bus pickups and dropoffs to/from all over Thailand. Also close enough to walk to the Grand Palace in 20 minutes, MBK in about an hour. The reception staff were efficient, spoke reasonable English and are available 24 hours a day so late checkin and early checkout are not a problem. The room was big enough and clean enough with a comfortable bed, tidy decoration, ancient TV and working safe. A fridge and kettle would have been nice additions but not essential for a short stay. Power sockets next to the bed would have been useful but again not essential. Wifi worked OK in the room and so did the air conditioner. There are 2 rooftop swimming pools, if you want the shortest possible walk for a swim then ask for a room in blocks A or E.

From the 4th floor in block E we didn't notice any construction noise from the nearby site.

There are nicer places to stay for similar money but they're not so well located. As a base for a short stay and early morning departure on the Lomprayah bus to Koh Tao this is a perfect compromise.

Room Tip: Blocks A and E have rooftop swimming pools.
