We only stayed one night at this hotel but it was so cute and quirky :) The staff were lovely and very helpful and made us feel very welcome. I would not recommend this place if you are used to fancy 5 star hotels with room service etc, but I would recommend it if you want somewhere chilled out and relaxed and a bit different.
Our room was very cute - the artwork all over the hotel and in our room was amazing. The room wasnt huge and since we had a lot of luggage it might have felt a bit small if we had been staying longer - I don't know if all the rooms were the same size.
The food that you could order downstairs was nice but there was not a lot of selection and we did have to wait a long time to get it - but when it came it was good :) The set breakfast that is included in the price was really nice and the coffee was great which was a nice suprise :)
As we were only there for a night we didn't really leave the hotel much but we could walk to Khao san road and we got a taxi to Siam square for about 70 baht so I would say the location is pretty good.
This place would be a good place to stay with kids and anyone looking for something different from your usual chain type hotels - I would go back again :)

Very nice design, service & all facilities. . Missing small fridge and safebox in rooms & real place to store clothes. Some rooms get light from early morning so not easy to sleep late. otherwise everything is good.

When we arrived at the bamboo gate of Phra-Nakorn Norn-Len Hotel, we weren't sure what we were going to find on the other side. The entrance is so unasuming, and in a tiny alleyway, off a narrow road, by the riverside. We were overwhelmed by the gorgeous courtyard/oasis we found as we walked in! We were offered welcome refreshing towels and fruit juice before checking in. Our room was spacious, with a little balcony, the shower was warm and the decor was warm and colorful. Breakfast is a set menu, and changes daily, offering unusual delights such as poached eggs on waffels, with a creamy lemon sauce. Fresh fruit, juice and a hot drink accompanies each breakfast. The hotel also serves lunch and dinner. There is free WiFi, as well as the use of guest computers. You can get great Thai massages at the hotel if you don't feel like wandering out in search of one.
The staff are incredible - plenty of them, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them!
The hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the legendary Khaosan Road, and about 15 minutes to the water taxi, that can take you to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. Tuk-Tuks and taxis are also easy to find by the hotel. So for us, it was close enough to get to where we wanted to go, and far enough to ensure a peaceful night's sleep.
We enjoyed our stay so much, and have raved about it to other travelers we have met in Thailand and Laos, since staying there, and have even met a few who have stayed there too, and loved it as much as us! We look forward to staying there again in April, during Songkran!

We spent a few days here and it was just wonderful - very relaxing. A creatively designed hotel with amazing bedrooms and a wonderful garden area. It made a very good base for exploring Bangkok and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our two night stay here in early March. The hotel is quirky in a very good way...adorned with tchochke, ephemera and cool murals. The staff is super helpful. They have excellent free wi-fi in all of the public spaces as well as rooms. The food is fresh and tastey; they have great dinner options, but the breakfast (included) menu is fixed and may not appeal to all palates. Our room was very simple and furnished with an old [inoperable] TV console. We had a small balcony overlooking the communal area. Overall the room was super clean and comfortable. Awesome massages for $10 USD. The only drawback was the interesting bathroom configuration...there is a large three-pane window running the length of the bathroom, separating it from the rest of the room. And there isn't a curtain, blinds or any screen. But, alas, there was a lock (!?!) on the door.

loved this cute place - delicious smoothies and food, healthy breakasts, helpful staff and relaxed homely vibe. nice rooftop bar too. the courtyard garden make the place feel really green and chilled out.
there are macs to access the internet or wifi access. they leave fresh tea in your room every afternoon which is a great touch - and even made us sandwiches on our last day as we were leaving too early to have breafkast.

ideal place if you have kids as lots of toys for them - can get a bit loud with all kids if you're not used to this like us, but always lovely excuse to retreat to your room and listen to the great chilled out cd they have there

The Phranakorn is a certain proof that a more of design doesn´t necessarily bring more usability. It´s a lovely styled boutique hotel but lacks some practical details like a room safe, a fridge/minibar, a cupboard and a laundry service. Considering that, it´s a bit overpriced. In peak season the staff also shows a certain lack of training that can lead to a delay of 45 minutes for your coffee. So you better avoid the period of X-mas/new year´s. On the other hand you reside in a really quiet & residential neighbourhood with a school nextby - so you might be awoken at 7:30am. But at the same time you are very close to the Khao San Road area. It´s spotlessly clean & the food is really good though has it´s price. And don´t take the first room that´s shown to you, there might be a nicer one for the same price. Take the new AirportCity Line (for 15 THB) & a cab (for abt. 45 THB) to get there.
