We stayed here only for one night before flying to Cambodia. We picked PN based on the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. We were completely enamoured by the charm of the whole place, the wall murals, the thoughtful decorations, everything. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and pretty. The bed wasn't too hard at all. The bathroom had a rainshower head that was bliss after sitting on an airplane for 8 hours. It was a short walk to the river where we could catch the ferry to visit the Grand Palace and Wat Pho (the orange coloured ferry was the most useful for us). It was a shame we couldn't stay here longer, the next time we go to Bangkok, we'll definitely choose PN again.

Rest assured you will have a great stay here. This is my second time here and things just keep getting better and better. It would have been my third time but the first time I tried to stay here it was fully booked. Word to the wise book early! Comfy beds, fluffy pillows, clean everywhere, piano, wifi, delicious food, excellent staff. This time around, I stayed 3 days, I really only needed to stay 1 night but I delayed my return because this place feels like home. If you are trying to decide between this place and another spot, don't fret, you'll be happy you picked this one.

We stayed here 2 nights on our first Thailand trip with our familiy of 3 kids. We chose this pension based on comments on Trotter and Trip advisor : we don't like big modern hotels that are the same in every city. If you are looking for authenticity, this is a really nice place : the decoration is special and the patio is very nice. We had directly the feeling to be in Thailand after a long trip on the plane and airports coming from Belgium. The personnel is very friendly and helpful with tips on traveling in Bangkok and even drinks late on the evening when the bar is closed! We had the family room with connecting door which is very nice with a family. Rooms are quite simple with no great luxury but clean. Nice breakfast too in the patio.

PN is a family friendly guest house for guests who want to spend a quality time together, we try to create an authentic feel that guests can associate with the old Bangkok, the most charming place all over Bangkok but also most overlooked by the majority. We want our guests to know that everyone work in PN truly care about them and never treat that as a job, most importantly the smiles of guests also bring us lots of happiness, playing with kids is something that remind ourselves that we can also find joy from working, our cooking class is another part that we encourage our staff ( those can't speak english well but cook well) to interact with guests through cooking :) we hope guests to know that our friendliness and politeness are not scripted but truly expressed from our heart, your smiles are also our smiles :)

We stayed here for 4 nights on our way back to Australia from Europe in June. This was our first time in Bangkok (we loved it!), but we are still raving about Phra-Nakorn Norn-Len to anyone who'll listen. Having travelled all over the world, and stayed in everything from the dingiest backpacker hostel to 5 star resorts - it's a big thing to say, but this is the BEST hotel I've ever stayed in. It is so much more than just a place to sleep, and in a city like Bangkok where the craziness and speed can be overwhelming, this beautiful sanctuary makes you feel like you a million miles away. The attention to detail is incredible, the staff are friendly and helpful. If you need a fridge, there's one downstairs, there are no safes in the room (although one day in the place will have you wondering why you ever thought you'd need one anyway), but there are lockers on the ground floor if you need them. The rooms are gorgeous, air conditioned, with great hot showers (our bed was completely fine...not hard at all). The breakfast is not your typical Western affair, but it is absolutely delicious and if you want a continental buffet then stay at home - you are in a foreign country - live a little!

Away from the horror that is Kao San Road, the hotel is in an authentic Bangkok neighbourhood. It has easy transport access - the ferry stop is a five minute walk and there are always taxis on the main road.

Get a massage...it's a little bit more expensive than what you'd pay on the street but a million times better!!

When we were there they were offering workshops in Sewing, Cooking and Soap Making. If you have the chance, take one (or them all). They were so beautifully taught and were definitely one of the highlights of the trip.

Don't hesitate, this place can only exceed your expectations.

Thank you so much for making our trip one that we will remember for ever, and for setting the bar so high for hotels in the future...if only they were all like this!

Room Tip: We were on the 1st floor overlooking the courtyard. The

This is a true recognition and prove our belief was right from few years ago, we believe there is many thing need to preserve, from decoration to staff training, but the most important thing is the type of our guests, interestingly our guests are very similar as there is only one channel to find us through our website, we intended to force everyone to learn about us before making any decision as we believe people can get upset if this is not exactly they want. Staying in PN is an experience rather than just physical comfort and convenience. We are not a 5 star quality hotel that can offer everything but a very small guest house with passion and ambition. Your words are the biggest encouragement to our PN family, thank you :)

This is the second time I have stayed at Phranakorn Nornlen in the last couple of years.

It is a lovely boutique hotel in a reasonably quiet area of Bangkok. The quality of the interior design throughout the hotel and in the rooms is very high. The murals on the walls in the common areas of the second and third floors are fantastic.

The rooms are simple, but nicely furnished (I agree with other comments that the beds are a tad hard - but they are still ok) and the bathroom has a nice rainforest style shower. The CD player in the room is a nice touch.

The thing that makes Phranakorn Nornlen an enjoyable place to stay is the staff who could not be any kinder or more welcoming.

The hotel is located a reasonably short walk from the ferry stop (I found the Orange Express the most useful to visit sights like the Grand Palace) and close to lots of good cheap eateries.

Highly recommended

We make a lot of effort on the design in order to reflect our thoughts and passions, the idea is to create a space that can give guests an authentic feel about old Bangkok.... in a slightly different way. The uniqueness is that we designed everything by ourselves and that's a visual translation of how we want as a travelers: to mingle with other like-minded people, interact with locals (our staff), to feel as a local, wake up with a truly tasty and healthy breakfast & appreciate the art & handicrafts ( from painting to patc- works). Thank you for your love and we will do better :)

We stayed here for only 1 night, and loved it the whole time i was there. It's one of the most interesting and original hotels i've ever stayed in, with it being of an open concept.

The hotel has an antiquey fee and is full of greenery, so you wouldn't be able to feel the heat even at noon. Very pretty designs on the walls, artistic and brightens up the atmosphere. The hotel is also very family oriented, with play areas for children, trolleys available and free WiFi.

Main drawback is the location, which is far from alot of shopping areas like the platinum mall or chatuchak; but it's near Khao San road, which has great nightlife and is only about 30 baht tuk tuk ride away.

Overall, will want to return for another night again :)

PN always give people an artistic or antique feel because of our designs and interiors, those who don't like will say 'old' or 'shabby'- which we can understand as we are designed as a hotel but a place for people to experience the authenticity and demonstrate our travel concept: to see and feel things from the eyes of the locals. Most guests like to spend a day just lying around especially now we have extend our public space such as air-conditioned living room, soap work shop, gift shops and etc...
Thank you for your love to PN :)

So cute, charming, unique...brimming with character, and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. From my balcony I could see a massive gold Buddha statue illuminated at night. Can't recommend this place highly enough! It's something you must experience.

Thank YOU!
PN is located in a historical district of Old Bangkok where you can find lots of temples, palaces & old style markets. You will love this place if 'vintage' , 'authentic' or 'off-the-beaten-path' catch your attention!
Standing Buddha behind our place has been standing there & looking after us over decades, it's one of the landmarks in our neighborhood. Once you step into PN, you will start to forget everything outside the gate, except PN, your love ones and yourself :)
