only a step away into the Soi where Phranakorn Nornlen situated, i feel like here is Bangkok!. the sense of community is filling up the atmosphere. the hotel is blended into the scene of local people here, seamless. love the feel to walk back to hotel after the long days journey!.

i understand that the concept of staying here is not only just staying but more of experiencing thai way for example they paint an outstanding mural painting in each room which tell different elements of thai ways of life.
I love the festival room theme that has Loy Krathong festival painted but didn't stay there since it's a room for 5 people.
Anyhow the joy of being here for me is enjoy the beauty of combination of decoration, color, fabric... everything has high personal touch.
it's so clever playful and thoughtful.
the room is simple but no one can make this simplicity better than here!.
It's really effortless beauty!.
Please only expect simple service, they are sweet but they are simple like us more like friend!.

rooftop got stunning view of the Standing Giant Buddha and Bangkok Old Town, it's sanctuary for me to sit there and be inspired.

they offer free cooking class, soap making and sawing class to all guest!
most of the stuff in the hotel they made themselves!. darling!

the whole place make me wanted to have a home in that style.

Room Tip: different rooms have totally different beauty!. ask them to choose if they aren't too busy. In t...

Kob Khun Kha! (Thank you!) for your perfect complementary of PN!
Your message covers many tips about the room, the staff, and the surroundings. We are sure your message helps other travelers a lot to think of PN.
As mentioned 'experience' is what a traveler needs in a journey, of course there are types of experiences such as luxury, budget, adventurous or authentic. But we would love to give you an opportunity of something special such as Cooking class or Soap making class, of course , free of charge. It could be just a short time, but we believe this experience will be a moment of a sweet memory of Thailand.
We are always think of our guests' satisfaction and smile.
We hope to welcome you again and see your lovely smile!

Phranakorn Norlen definitely exceeded all expectations. Lovely customer service, delicious fresh food and attention to detail in all aspects of the hotel. We stayed here for three days while travelling around Thailiand and it definitely made our Bangkok stay enjoyable. The staff really look after their guests (Thank you Anne and Eve), taking the time to answer our questions, organised airport taxis and even made us a take away breakfast because we had to check out at 5am. The green leafy courtyard is chilled out, net access on the downstairs macs is an awesome addition and it's in the old part of town, just a 5 minute tuk tuk away from the palaces and temples. This will be coming back next time we are in Bankgkok. Busy town, slow life :)

Room Tip: each room is unique. There is a golden Buddha visible from some windows, maybe ask for a room with i...

We really enjoyed our stay there! So much love in every detail :) Even our little boy (1 year) loved the place - there´s a cool playground with lots of toys and things to discover.

We miss you and your little baby!
It was such a sweet time to see your baby playing & smiling in our playground. PN loves kids, and it was a right decision to make a cute playground in the garden and also inside for babies and kids.
We hope your baby remember the time with us, and would be great if you could come back here so that we can see the grown-up of your little baby!
Let's keep in touch on facebook! We are looking forward to seeing your smile again someday soon!

How wonderful to receive your message! You made us smile :-)
"Oasis" is one of the most beautiful word to describe PN, and we will keep on making every pieces of us as a peaceful oasis in the middle of Bangkok.
Bangkok is a very interesting place with gorgeous temples&other historical places, and high traffic of the cars & people.
It is fun to listen to guests' stories of exploring the cities, and nice to see their relaxed face after coming back to our hotel. We want to be as a home & family for you in Bangkok.
Please remember that we are always here to welcome you back!

My girlfriend and I spent several days at Phranakorn Nornlen this summer while traveling through Thailand and we could not have been happier with the experience. Others have commented on the "oasis"-like character and this is absolutely right -- and after a day in bustling Bangkok there is nothing like coming home to a snack and a drink in an open air garden with beautiful art on the walls, trickling fountains, and the warm smiles of the staff. The building has a ton of character and is very comfortable. The location is great for getting to the river and the old city, which for a brief, sights-oriented stay is perfect. And the breakfasts are delightful- unusual combinations and interpretations that get you energized for the day.

I also wanted to mention the service. Due to some unrelated travel surprises, I had to leave some garments in Bangkok and have them shipped back to the states. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful and responsive in liaising between the tailor and the shipping company, even several weeks after I had returned to the States.

Thank you Phranakorn! My only regret is that I never got one of your famous smoothies... I guess I'll have to come back!

We are truly happy to receive your lovely message as we could imagine your smile through your message, and would like to tell you "Kob Khun Kha! (thank you!)"
It is our pleasure to work on the shipment of your box. That was one of your memory of traveling Bangkok, and should be with you.
Also, your message introduce PN very well, and we are sure it helps a lot for the travelers who are planning to come to Thailand.
The only thing was pity that you didn't have a chance to try our smoothie!
Our smoothie is literally 100% fresh as we do not use any water ice cube. (We can tell you the secret when you come back here. ;-))
We are looking forward to welcoming you back, and to see your "Aroi! (delicious!) " expressions by drinking our smoothie!

I found the Phra-Nakorn Norlen while searching for a boutique hotel in Bangkok. I went to the website and found that they prepare healthy organic meals, grow their own veggies, and use cosmetic products (i.e., soap, shampoo, tea, etc) made on location and free of harmful chemicals.

The property looked beautiful. So I went ahead and booked us for our stay in Bangkok. I bought the transfer from the airport to the Phra-Nakorn and was more than relieved because the commute was a good 45 minutes (and we arrived at midnight). The driver was corteous and we had no trouble finding him. The Phra-Nakorn made all arrangements and sent detailed instructions that were very easy to follow.

The transfer was pricey, but in retrospect, we believe it was fair.

The rooms look bright, cheery, and very clean but definitely not what I expected. There are a few things that one needs to get accustomed to right away: not much bathroom privacy within the room. Running the shower will leave the entire bathroom floor, wet. The room did not have much space to hang clothes or wet towels.

Once you get used to the issues mentioned above, you will be okay. The staff will make your stay and trip enchanting. All staff: chef, front desk and kitchen in general are friendly and helpful.

The Phra-Nakorn has a washer and dryer in perfect condition. They do not offer laundry service but this is in my opinion, better. You do your own laundry.

We were very happy with this unique boutique hotel and decided to book the same hotel prior to returning home, and this is when we had an incident that made me unhappy about our stay: they did not clean our room or gave us fresh towels. Normally we are not fussy people, but we are very clean and wanted to take showers and come back to a clean room before our last evening in the country.

They did apologize.

I recommend this hotel, but, insist that they have your room cleaned.

Room Tip: All rooms seem good, but insist that they change the sheets and clean the room everyday.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful message!
It is nice to know that you enjoyed our transport service from the airport as it is one of the most difficult things when you are in foreign country. PN recommend our transfer department since we have been in team for a long time, and we know they are reliable and friendly. :-)

We would like to appreciate your sincere message about the shower room and cleanliness.
We believe the shower space is quite spacious and artistic decorated, but we are sure that we need to work on the water drainage more and more. Comfort in every scene is our priority for our guests! There are cloths hungers in the room, and we are happy to offer you more if needed. :-)
Also, please accept our apologies for not cleaning your room.... It happened because of our lack of communication among the PN team.
Basically, we focus on the cleanliness as we think the comfort & happiness is one of the most priority for our guests. Your message let us realize how important to work as a team as we are learning by meeting people and communicating with each other.
PN team appreciate your indication as a great chance to improve better and better.
We hope to welcome you again, and to see your lovely smile someday very soon!

We stayed here for a few days and really enjoyed the style and location of the hotel. It is tucked away in an old neighborhood and very near the river (good access to river boats). The hotel is funky and creative, has good food, a nice staff, and a great atmosphere. I love that the hotel is environmentally responsible and strives to provide organic foods and natural homemade soaps.
The only downside was the very hard beds and pillows, which made my neck sore. However, I definitely recommend this hotel...its an experience!

First of all, we appreciate your honest feeling about the bed as we have had the same opinion from other guests. Our first concept was to provide guests some healthy beds (as referred to some guest comments they are actually not that hard ).We will definitely improve this by adding some extra soft mattress and pillows for your sweet dreams. :-)

It is our pleasure to hear a lovely word "experience" from you!
Our nature-love-mind is always one of our core belief.
We would like all of our guests to enjoy the beauty of the nature by experiencing our hotel, our products, and our food.
We are happy to share our environmental thought with our guests, and would be very nice if this could be the catalyst of eco-friendly life!

Please feel free to contact us at anytime if you have questions and opinions about us.
We are always here in the peaceful old bangkok as your home in Thailand!
