“Exceptional!”
Reviewed 20 December 2012

Everything about our stay here was exceptional - the kind staff, the clean cute rooms, the food, the common area, etc. We were treated very well and thoroughly enjoyed our time. It was hard to leave!

We also enjoyed Thai massage at the hotel. Great value, really great massage. Seemed to be good for families too as there were kids exploring the grounds.

Located down a small back alley in the heart of Phra Nakon, ideally placed to knock off most of the major tourist sites.

It is superior than the photographs posted on trip advisor and from the moment you enter , you are welcomed into a sub tropical paradise engulfed by plants and well balanced boutique hand finished detail that makes it truelly unique.

The character and arrangement is very well thought out and superbly designed to offer all visitors a truely one off experience. Antique decorations and a mild rustic touch envelopes you into a serene paradise where you can quite easily forget you are placed in a densely packed urban sprawl.

The staff are very welcoming, well presented, friendly and extremely helpful to make your stay memorable. They go out of their way to incorporate you and your family into theirs and a fresh integration blend that makes you feel like an extended family member.

All rooms are uniquely themed and hand decorated, you could be sleeping in a music shop, barber, fruit stall, aquarium, toy shop etc.

Sadly the roof top was getting refurbished during my stay, which did not stop me having a sneak peak , which can only be said that once finished will be the jewel of this very special hotel. Spectacular views towards Chao Phraya river, where you can see Rama VIII bridge lit up at night as well as the impressive Wat Intharawihan with the large standing Buddha.

The staff can also accomodate help with tours and travel advise. a brisk 10 minute walk along the canal and you are on a pier on Chao Phraya River which has an excellent ferry service at comparitively cheaper rates than tuk tuks without the congestion of traffic. Easy commute to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho , Wat Arun etc. The surrounding area is pleasant, safe, convenience stores, street markets, street food and a very Thai feel with very few tourists and not very crowded streets as opposed to other areas in Bangkok.
Hua Lamphong and Tho Buri stations are reasonably close for the extended commute out of Bangkok .

The food is reasonably priced, well portioned and better than most other restaurants at similiar prices. Sadly not alot of variety and after 2 /3 days can become monotonous,.

The hotel also has an array of other services, classes in soap making, book binding, cooking , sketching and textile fabrication, along with the usual massages, laundry and free internet service.

I was originally going to stay at the Lebua State Tower, Banyan Tree or other similiar 4-5 star hotels , cautious as travelling with my family and concerned about safety, however this hotel proved to be the ideal choice for me and my family and should I return to Bangkok , this hotel would be my first choice.

Thank you to Sam and staff for a wonderful stay .

Quintin

PN is in a great location to visit the main attractions by River Express Boats (Orange Flags), as well as being near the Dusit area and the Chetuchak market in Bangkok. We also walked to Khao San road and the nice little blues bar Adhere the 13th.
It is also in a residential area, where you get a feel for the "real" Bangkok, with food stalls, daily markets and little shops.
This hotel provides a calm oasis in a hectic city, with nice food and very friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend staying here, but do not expect a Holiday Inn!

This hotel is very charming with lots of distressed wood and a lush patio. It had a cool/funky/retro look. The staff went above and beyond to help make out stay enjoyable. For example, we booked a tour on our own (not through the hotel) that left at 4:30 a.m. When we headed out for it, they gave us a bag with breakfast sandwiches and water bottles. They really did everything they could to make it a good stay and I definitely recommend this place. The only downside is the bathroom did not have a lot of counter space.

Neil and I was really impressed with the hotel, it's really a vintage and artistic hotel. The star were very welcoming and helped us with our enquiries. The coupons were great, we was in for a surprise with the full Thai massage, we were feeling stiff afterwards but still a great experience! The bedroom is fab, the shower and the sink - very unusual. I love the hot ginger tea and already want one now! Stayed two nights there before setting off for Chiang Mai, they were helpful with organising transports to airport. Many thank you for your welcoming us to the gorgeous hotel!

Only problem is the distance from the hotel to the places we want to visit. We walked most of time but also travelled by tuk-tuk.

The only bad thing about this place was that we couldnt stay long enough!!!

Only had one night here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was gorgous and exactly the place we needed after a long flight. The food here was amazing and the drinks were even better. Free internet use in their little wifi room and baggage storage after you check out. The painting on the walls are great and alot of detail has been put into this place. We got some welcome drinks when we arrived and also some tea sent to our room. Room was located over the reception/main area however we didnt hear a thing.

We went to the Chatuchak Market and Koh San Road and it was really cheap in a tuk tuk. The receptionist kindly wrote the names of the places in Thai incase we had any issues.

Also, we got our train tickets delivered here before arrived in the country and the staff kept a hold of them and gave them to us for when we got there.

Would stay here again and the value for money is fantastic. Great for families and couples :)

There's a really relax atmosphere which makes you feel at home.
Every morning starts with delicious breakfast and good coffee.
Watch out with the Thai massage. It can be a bit painful if you're not used to it as we are.

Also extra bonus points for:
- one free laundry
- fast and free wifi
- beautiful hotel decoration
