This is a nice friendly hotel with a community oriented lifestyle, slowness and sharing. I like the common spaces and the decoration, all made from recycled materials in a very playful way.
also, the staff was very nice and helpful, it really gives a sense of feeling like "at home". An oasis of tranquility.

I stayed 3 nights here and very enjoyed it. When you enter in Phra-Nakorn you immediately feel the relaxing ambiance (appreciated in the busy Bangkok) and the kidness of the staff. The room was very pretty. The food was great (breakfast + roof top restaurant). Phra-Nakorn offers a lot of services : free wifi (+ one computer), washing machine, massage, and has a very nice shop where it is easy to find gifts. From Phra-Nakorn, it is easy to reach Wat Pho and the grand palace by boat . Khao San Road is also very closed by taxi. I definitely recommend Phra-Nakorn.

Loved this hotel! Don't be fooled by the somewhat grubby front entrance. When you enter Phra-Nakorn, it feels less like entering a hotel than a stage set. Delightfullly faux "shops" evoke Bangkok of the 1930s. The magic continues with the super comfy futons, tropical ambiance and super friendly-warm staff. The food was extraordinary--each day a different and delicious breakfast special with super-fresh ingredients. A boy each morning puts tropical fruits in a juicer for your juice and a variety of espresso drinks are first rate as are the cocktails on the roof. Try the mojito with fresh mint and basil! Everything about this place is pretty, dreamlike and relaxing. The location is great--in a residential area with an easy walk to the ferry.
Would stay here again and again...

Room Tip: No elevator and not close to "tourist" things but that can be a wonderful plus.

We stayed one night here, and we enjoyed it a lot. Nice Thai breakfast. Hard bed. :-) Original and cosy interior.
And we especially liked the relaxing area after a busy day in Bangkok. An amazing quiet area.
We had dinner on the roof top, where we enjoyed the view on Bangkok.
We would definitely come back to this address.

I was really surprised when I came to Bangkok from Australia. "What a crazy city" I thought.
I was very tired after walking in the city but when I entered Phranakorn Nornlen, I could feel peace. Also everything was so pretty! I loved the design and pretty colors. There are cafe and small gift shop on the grand floor. Smoothie that I had was beautiful :-)
There is a space for relaxing too. I just sat there and stayed long time. Very peaceful.
My room was very pretty too. my nose is sensitive so I noticed the water sink smell a little bit but that was ok, better than using strong chemical for cleaning I think.
I joined free cooking class. That was amazing too! Staffs are so kind and I had a wonderful experience!!
The location was a bit far from the station but worth for staying. I loved this accommodation!

What a great experience in this peaceful house ! Rooms are clean, the view from the rooftop is nice, the staff is very helpful and the vintage design is pleasant.
Banglamphu district is far away from crazy and noisy city-center, you can discover the authentic Bangkok. We highly recommand this place !

I stayed there for 6 nights, generally this is a good hotel to stay, vintage Thai looking and atmosphere, the public dining hall and resting area is made up to a 60-70's old street, very lovely.

Room wide, it is simply furnished but functional, also a lively 60-70's Thai country looking, if u was born and raise in a metropolis, it will be very attractive to you definitely.

Location wise, it's a little bit hard to find out, my cab driver took 10min to find it.

Counter staffs are very nice and ready to answer almost all your questions.

At the end, I would like to complain the hot water: either water flow and temp cannot meet my standard, hopefully it can be resolved soon.

Thank Chuan W

Dear Guest,

Thank you so much for your feedback. It is very useful for us to improve.
We are located in the small street and no hotel a bit out of he tourist area so some driver doesn't know us : ) However this is a well-known area so if you could give the driver our number and him talk to us, it would be easier.
And thank you for your comments about the hot water, we are so sorry for the inconvenience and we will fix it.

Hope to see you again next time : )
Have a slow life.
