We was here in 2010 with a couple of friends. The hotel itself is located behind a series of alleys, but it was not more than a 10 min walk to get to the main road where you either can get a cab or take the public transportation. We were really pleased with the service provided by the staff and the rooms. The rooms were big, clean and had a really nice bath and bed. Loving the thai cuisine the hotell restaurant did not disappoint. We ordered room service almost every day, and the food was really good.

It's my first stay in the Hotel. Here are my reviews:

Location:
This hotel is located near Chong Non Si BTS. From airport, you could take a Train, get down at Prya Thai. From Prya Thai, change at Siam BTS. From SIam BTS, take 3 stations to Chong Non Si. You need to walk about 5 mins to the hotel. It's not easily be seen. But if you look carefully from the MRT, you can spot the hotel from a distance. If you are going to places like siam or national stadium, not many train stations away.

Staff:
Staff are generally okay. Not the best, but just okay. If needed help, they will render assistance. Room maintenance staff will greet you if they see you.

Swimming Pool:
A nice cosy swimming pool.

Gym:
There is a gym. A very small gym. Don't expect much. Enough for a decent workout!
Only went once. On maintenance for the past 2 days.

Room:
Room is very big. Nice cosy bed. Understand the hotel practises saving the earth by encouraging guests to resue the towels. One thing for improvement. Do not use thick towels. You are just using as much detergents on a thick towel than a towel which is thinner.
I heard noises inside my room. such as Heavy foot steps, door opened, some clink clank noises at night. But there is just no one. Believe it or not. I am not the only experiencing this. Others who travelled with me felt the same too.

I am writing this review because this hotel got good reviews, but none of them mentioned one BIG issue: it's not in a good location. The hotel is OK, but you have to walk down several alleys to get to it. There are no sidewalks so you have to walk in,the street and dodge cars and motorcycles (going both ways on a 1 lane street.) at night it is pitch black. There's not much around so you have to take the BTS Skytrain or a taxi to get anywhere. Ask for a room on a high floor to escape from the noise.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a high floor.

My first time staying at Furamaxclusive Hotel (Sathorn; Bangkok) for 6 days with my friends and find the hotel to be a tad bit jaded. The location of the hotel is near Chong Nongsi BTS which is ideal but having to walk along the alley in the night can be very daunting. Definitely not so safe for lone lady traveller.
We arrived and was greeted with a welcome cool drink and were automatically upgraded to the Premium Room upon check-in. The service staff were impeccable, efficient and prompt. Very hospitable and friendly too.
Room was clean and homely and comes with a full 5 feet refrigerator and a small kitchenette. There were ample wall powerpoints for charging of smartphones and other devices.
House keeping was timely and prompt.

However the hotel needs upgrading.
1) The swimming pool is deceptively small and water was cloudy so I wonder if cleaning of the pool was done regularly.
2) Everytime your exit from the hotel elevator, there seem to be a lingering "stale" smell permeating in the lobby area. Guess some cushions or carpets needs to be thoroughly wash.
3) Choice of toiletries need to be revamped especially the shampoo and body wash - lacking in fragrance.
4) Need to change the CRT TV to a flat screen one maybe for all the rooms
5) Improve the drainage in the bathroom especially those that comes with a bath tub. Fflooding" of bath area is inevitable.

I will give the hotel 3 stars but for staff and service 5 stars!!! Overall a good experience. Value for money only if there is a GREAT promotion. Else listed price is unrelistic.

I chose this hotel because it was in a geat location for me and seemed to offer good value for money with the online rate I got, which included breakfast.

The hotel is in an excellent location – a couple of minutes from the nearest BTS station and five minutes’ walk from Silom Road. It was fun to check out the local neighbourhood with the various walking options to get to Silom Road.

The hotel was rather blander than the marketing photos would suggest and my room, in particular, felt a little tired. However the rooms are a good size and well equipped (TV with home theatre system, microwave, tea & coffee making facilities, full size fridge, mini-safe, bathrobes, iron/ironing board and a comfortable firm bed). The bathroom was on the small side, though the shower cubicle was large and there was good water pressure. There were signs of wear and tear throughout the room, but I wasn’t unduly bothered.

The restaurant was a pleasant space and the buffet breakfast included a reasonable number of choices including Asian and Western options and all quite tasty although some items were a bit lukewarm. There is an eggs station where they will prepare eggs any way you want. The restaurant was never too busy so breakfast was a pleasant, leisurely affair.

The pool area is OK with a reasonable number of recliners, but there were signs of wear and tear in this area too. The gym – just off the pool area – is small but is comprehensively equipped for a serious workout.

Overall I found the hotel a touch bland – there are very few Thai touches – but my stay was pleasant and comfortable and at the end of the day the location and the value for money aspect made it a good choice. I would rate the hotel as more three stars than the four it is advertised as.

Would I stay here again? Yes, the positives outweighed the negatives.

We spent 3 nights at the FuramaXclusive Hotel and had a very nice stay.

Our room was upgraded on arrival, so we ended up with this huge room with separate seating area and 2 TV's. The room was very clean, spacious and light, although the furnishing was just a tad outdated.

I enjoyed the hotel pool and the fitness room which offered a nice break from Bangkok's city bustle.

Staff was friendly, hotel location was very central and the breakfast was good.

All things considered, felt we got a pretty good deal at this hotel!

Having Wi-Fi which does not work properly is annoying and creates too much negative emotions so us your own 3G etc if you can.
Overall the hotel is a very good value for money, though not very convenient for short stops due to a long distance from airport train (taxi is not alternative in a rush hour...).
Small but nice swimming pool, poor gym but better than nothing.
Rooms are relatively old but are still to the standard, well maybe no flat TV but i hardly ever watch it.
And again be sure to save your emotions on Wi-Fi: i hope it breaks soon and can't be repaired so that the management will buy a new option or stop offering this crappy service at all.
