I was able to get a room at around $45 a night. For that price the hotel is well worth it. Rooms are decent size, pretty quiet and the hotel is next to Chong Nonsi BTS and easy walk to most venus on Silom.
Pool area seems to have deteriorated since I last stayed though. No umbrellas so it was a bit of a desert wasteland when the sun came out. A shame because in the past I'd spend quite a few hours there reading and soaking through a hot afternoon.
Internet works OK. Not that fast, but adequate to do the basic email and web browsing.
Plenty of cheap tasty places to eat around the hotel with a 7 11 out front too.
Because of the pool I'm not sure I'll stay again, but if you tend to not use a hotel pool then I'd still recommend the hotel as being affordable and conveniently located.
