This hotel has everything you could want from the time you arrive until the time you leave. All the staf are friendly and efficient. Food excellent. Close to good shopping and skytrain. Can't praise them enough.
We will certainly be back and also be recommending this hotel to anyone going to Bangkok.

This was our last leg of our 3 1/2 week trip in Thailand. We stayed for 4 nights at Siam@Siam Design Hotel. First impression, very different decor but in the same breath very funky. We checked in just before 12noon and within minutes we were taken to our room on one of the high floors, we had a corner room which was awesome, views overlooking the Staduim and the sky train. Our room was very clean and tidy, not overly large in size but it was ideal for our short stay. Centrally located so that was a bonus. Within walking distance to all the malls.
Breakfast was very enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall we would come back here again if we stayed in Bangkok.
This comment is not in regards to the hotel but just Watch Out for the taxi guys outside on the main street, very pushy and they will try and take you to gem factorys or closing down/ last day shopping expos etc.

We only stayed in this hotel for three nights after staying in phuket a week. Compared to the Mercure in Patong i was dissapointed. Hotel was clean and nice but very dark and gloomy.. We had much better service at Mercure and found the locals in Bangkok not as polite and friendly. Pool area is quite small and staff promised to drive us around in the hotel car to sight see but after being forced into suit shops before we went where we wanted to go was enough for me after he knew we werent interested in suits we werent driven to our destination as promised and was told to get taxis or tuk tuks. Overall im glad i wasnt there very long and more than likely would ever stay at this hotel again

Stayed for 6 nights and can highly recommend. Location is just perfect almost opposite MBK for all shopping requirements and I mean ALL, hop on Sky Train and go almost anywhere. World Travel Service has desk in foyer to book all your tours etc. Most of all the hotel although being a little quirky is quiet, clean has so many restaurants/eating choices cannot recall and all food 1st class as were all staff. Views to die for, go onto top of building (25th) at night for 360 degree views and have a drink also when visiting MUST have dinner in Roof Top restaurant we had meal cooked at table, Lobster Bisque, the BEST aussie steak we have ever had and Crepe Suzzette, magnificent. Remember this is hotel so no balconies and rooms basic but clean and serviced daily, free breaky with everything. We will and have recommended and will be back.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights on our trip to Thailand. It was our first stop before hitting Phuket & Phi Phi. The hotel is located very close to MBK shopping centre - last time I was in Bangkok i stayed at the Pathumwan, which is right on top of MBK, but Siam is not much further! roughly a few mins walk - and you get to walk past a few street vendors on the way. Its also close to National & Siam Skytrain stations but with the cost of tuk tuks & taxis being so cheap in Bangkok we didn't bother with the Skytrain. (eg 450 baht from the airport, is not bad at all considering we were in traffic for an hour and its quite far.) The hotel from the outside is very funky, we were given great customer service from the moment we stepped inside the hotel, all staff very helpful. The only annoyance within the entire hotel really was the tour desk in the lobby - they are ready to jump on you at any opportunity, but then that's a nuisance across all of Thailand :) We got a room on the 21st floor, overlooking National Stadium and the city lights. I believe the rooms on the opposite side of the hotel might have a view of a hotel in progress (a new Holiday Inn) so probably best to try and get the side not overlooking the construction site! The room itself is designed wonderfully & so unique compared with the stock standard hotel room. Has all the amenities you need. The first place we went was the rooftop bar - which has absolutely stunning views - but beware of the cost of alcohol and food up there! We didn't check the cost of our beers before we purchased, and they were probably the most expensive beers we had on our entire trip - worked out to be about $10 a beer! I guess you're paying for the view :) The pool is great, overlooking National Stadium with sunbeds and poolside service (the food & drink here is cheaper than the rooftop bar, and quite standard hotel prices). The breakfast was the best selection we experienced on our Thailand trip and the staff very attentive and friendly. We also had dinner at the hotel one night downstairs and they have a band playing which was pretty cool - the food was great too. The only complaint I had from our stay at Siam was the noise at 5am from National Stadium - as it was Queen's Bday when we stayed, there were sound checks & practices from very early that went until about midday and so we were woken up by this. Otherwise the hotel and room were impeccable, and when we checked out and left our baggage until we needed to leave for our flight later in the evening, we were advised we could still use the pool & amenities if we needed to. Great hotel and if I ever come back to Bangkok for another visit, i would definitely stay at Siam@Siam again.

Thank you for taking your valuable time to review the hotel. Your comment “great customer service from the moment we stepped inside the hotel, all staff very helpful” appears that our staff training for guest comfort and service is successful. My partner & I have just returned from 2 weeks in Thailand. We stayed in a few 5star hotels during our time there but we loved Siam@Siam!! I seen it recommended in Lonely Planet and the reviews were good so we gave it a go for our last two nights. The decor is amazing! Lots of polished concrete and I can see that its a love it or hate it thing but my my my, we loved it! :)

The Good - the staff were amazing, couldnt do enough for you. Nice inifinity like pool. Live music in bar which was a nice touch. Really great location - if you are flying into Bangkok, jump on the Skytrain from the Airport (its 45baht each, so cheap!) and takes you into city centre, from there you can walk to the hotel, jump on another train for three more stops if you dont fancy the walk or jump a cab for very little. Really close to Siam Paragon and shopping heaven. Only a short taxi ride to Koh San Road where the night entertainment is good fun! Now the hotel itself... the roof top bar is beautiful, the drinks are pricey ($15 Australian Dollars for a glass of Sav Blanc) but its well worth it for one or two and look over Bangkok. The breakfast was lovely. The decor continues to the bedrooms - they are really funky too. Free Wi-Fi.

Tips - Don't get the hotel transport as suggested on the website, its really expensive compared to finding your own way there. Do have one drink on the rooftop bar for a treat! :)

First night we heard a huge crack, then a monsoon downpour followed by an absolute flood of water into the room through the wall. Several phone calls and several explanations later we managed to get a new room. Now this hotel is what some might term "modern", but it is what I would term a "design students mistake".
Whilst it is a handy location it simply is not a great hotel.
