“Courtyard Bangkok”

Good value hotel for business travel. Location is a bit tucked away takes a bit of a walk but is manageable. Rooms are trendy. Buffet breakfast a little small for Thai standard but is sufficient. Convenience store at the lobby comes in pretty handy especially if you check in late at night.

Room Tip: Try to book the club floor the difference isn't much. The club floor has a good view and refresh...

Modern contemporary good value hotel situated in a quiet newer part of Bangkok, conveniently between two sky-train stations. The hotel offers a complimentary tuk-tuk service to them. Excellent modern shopping malls nearby. Room standard high, we did not have much of a view. Breakfast choice satisfactory. The hotel is clean and well maintained.
My only criticism would be about the concierge service. They are polite but inexperienced. Their English is not up to scratch and the trips on offer are not exactly as displayed in their brochure. We paid for an escorted day trip to the floating market, bridge on the Kwai & the Tiger temple. But we ended up also accommodating two other couples trip to an elephant camp, a snake and mongoose show and some woodworking sale. We lost a lot of time and weren’t even asked. The escort hardly spoke much English. This trip was arranged with Stang Travel 2 Co Ltd. We felt cheated.
Otherwise we had an enjoyable 4 days in Bangkok.

Nice clean tidy hotel conveniently located by a two sky train stations and upmarket shopping, friendly staff, smooth check in clean, comfy rooms good varied breakfast and all in all a good base for a 3 day whirlwind tour of Bangkok. Only thing to watch is the bar prices which are a touch on the steep side !

Great location nr BTS and walking distances to the Central and Paragon Malls. Check in staff a bit indifferent. Useless concierge who had poor knowledge of other hotels in Bkk. We informed hotel by email of our late arrival but did not even get acknowledgment email. Booked a double non smoking but given double smoking. Complained and check in staff totally indifferent and given take it or leave it attitude and asked us try again in morning. Did not argue cos it was 2am and we were tired. Friends asked concierge to help tell taxi to take them to W Hotel Bkk but concierge had no idea where that was. Unbelievable. Can it be a Courtyard by Marriott? Next time just stay at Marriott or the Novotel which provides better consistent service. Toiletries were crap, you get better shampoo and soap at the public gym. Pillows were poor quality. Poor choice of buffet breakfast.

I asked my wife how much she booked the room for. She said "$100 USD". I said "nice work".

We just stayed one night and we needed to stay in this area. Basically we were in town to shop on our way home and we have friends who live around here. For us it served this purpose well.

Simple, clean and modern rooms. Really good location for shopping and sky-train access.

Pros:
- Good wifi
- Location
- Clean and functional
- Lots of breakfast choices
- Our room was quiet, even with lots of kids on our floor.

Cons:
I can't come up with much. Usually I can - see my other reviews. I did not use the pool, but it looked a bit small and crowded compared to some other hotels in Bangkok. So if you're bringing kids or plan to lounge in the sun this could potentially be an issue.

Otherwise I thought for a Courtyard it was pretty good and I've stayed in a lot of places in Bangkok.

Tip: The hotel is at the end of a what looks like a dead end street. However there is a secret alleyway at the end. Don't be scared to go down here - totally safe. If you follow it you'll end up on a street called Lang Suan. There are shops, a Starbucks and more restaurants. There is also a grocery store nearby.

Room Tip: Ask to be at the end of the hallway if you're a light sleeper. The hotel is in the shape of a cr...

Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Bangkok never fails to impress. We love the modern, contemporary feel of this hotel and despite it's 5 years, all the main areas are well kept and maintained. This time we stayed on the 14th floor and had access to the Exec lounge on the 15th. Definitely a must and well worth the extra baht. The staff in the lounge are lovely, polite and always remember your name and always have time for a chat. The lounge was never overly busy and we enjoyed our sundowners sat outside on the small balcony overlooking the Bangkok skyline. The pool area gets very busy on a weekend and there didn't seem to be enough loungers. There is an upper area by the pool which wasn't doing anything. Last time we were here there were beds and umbrellas - so I think Marriott could do something here if possible ;-). The gym is well-equipped and spacious. We always enjoyed MoMo Cafe for dinner during previous stays (after a long day in Bangkok, it was just nice to relax in the evening), but KLM staff seem to have overtaken the outside terrace and on 2 occasions, we could not get a table as they had pushed all the tables into one, and therefore we chose to eat elsewhere. It seems a shame as Marriott need to take care of their "normal" guests, and not just the airline crews. That's the only gripe we have.... Big thanks to the lovely Marriott staff, including Mark Eaton, Operations Director, who made a point of talking to us and asking about our stay, and the Executive Lounge Manager and his staff. We will come again.
