“Pleasant hotel”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

A nice hotel for business or a shopping holiday. Clean, new and chic. I got a corner room which was more spacious. Bedding and linens were comfy and clean. Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste as they dont provide other than the usual bath washes and shampoo but it wasnt a problem for me as i prefered using my own anyway. Noise travels in the corridor and I was kept up on my second night when there was a commotion outside my room about something not working and there were several ppl talking loudly and alot of doors opening and closing etc. The shower wasnt well sealed and had a tendance to flood the floors if you arent careful.

Breakfast provided was pretty good but I'd skip having lunch here as its more limited plus for the price you could have a great local meal elsewhere. Check in was slower than I'm used to and there was a minor hiccup while checking out as they insisted i needed to swipe my card eventhough they already asked my boss to sign a slip indicating all expenses from my room are to be paid by her. I told them to check their record, eventually they found it and checked me out swiftly.

Business amenities in the meeting room was advanced but had a lot of technical issues. There is no use having a good sound system if the wireless clip mic doesnt work half the time. Overall i think there is room for improvement but its still a nice hotel to stay in. Central location but in a quiet cul-de-sac and still accessable by public transport. Do ask for the reception to write the hotel name in thai and the road number as not all thai cab drivers can read english.

Room Tip: Room at the ends are larger but overall they are pretty much the same.

Probably the least expensive of the Marriott properties in BKK. Still get good quality. Nice pool, workout room. Breakfast is good. A bit of a hike to either BTS station.to get th Chitom, you need to hike through an alley. Interesting, but not recommended for the the first time at night. There is a nice Starbucks between the hotel and the Chitlom BTS.

I am staying in room 1022 this week. The air con temperature control never work work. I had to call for the service twice. The technician took out the cover panel on the ceiling and basically just turned the "cold switch" on and off each time. But they never fixed it. Their website says the room is equipped with individual temperature control, apparently this is not true. This is a major discomfort-- imagine the cold air keep coming out even though it is freezing cold in the room. And moments after they turned of the "cold switch" hidden behind the ceiling, the room turn sweaty hot. I am staying for only one week, and I hate to pack up and move to another room or even another hotel. But I feel I need to share my experience with the readers here.
Another problem, as a previous reviewer pointed out, is that the shower door leaks. So after you take the shower, there is always a big puddle of water in the middle of the bath room. This should be a easy fix if the management pay attention to where the water flow. (even I know I can fix the problem by cutting a small piece of the border slate on the joint where the glass door and the glass divider meet, and the water would stay in). But, no, the management never bother even after so many reviewers had already complained about the problem.
I am giving this hotel one star.

Very nice hotel and very reasonably priced. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable and breakfast was very good. The staff were also very friendly and full of advice for us first timers in Bangkok! Excellent location within a 10 min walk to the main shopping area. Sky train station is also very close and a great way to get around Bangkok. Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to anyone I know visiting this wonderful city.

We came from BKK airport to the hotel using Sky Train. It was a piece of cake - fast and inexpensive. Admittedly, we had to walk (with our carry on luggage on wheels) about 1/4 mile - no problem! The hotel was beyond our expectations, especially at that price. It was modern and well kept. The room and bathroom were clean, efficient and comfortable. There was no bath tub (some guests complained about that) but we seldom use it at home and never when traveling. Instead, the shower enclosure was very spacious, which we liked, and the water pressure was just great.
Breakfast buffet had expansive selection of dishes and the best coffee we had in a long time. I wish they had daily dinner buffet too.

Room Tip: Corner rooms at higher levels give you great view of Bangkok skyline.
