“Very chilled”
Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

Chilled out vegetarian restaurant and small art gallery. Had the falafel burger that came with a baked banana and some pineapple. Bathroom was also surprisingly clean and nice.

Room for improvement: the burger bun was just that, a typical white hamburger bun with sesame seeds rather than a healthier wholemeal seeded bun. Also, there should have been hummus inside or on the side and if there was I didn't taste it.

Mango shake and chai tea were good.

“Peaceful getaway !”
Reviewed 17 July 2014 via mobile

I ate here everyday while in BBK its peaceful with a serene atmosphere, easy listening music and smells divine inside. The menu is creative and the food and smoothies are delicious. It caters for all types of vegetarian and vegan and they have an extensive tea menu served in beautiful elephant tea pots. Great place!

“Our favourite place to eat in Asia”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

Having gotten bored trying to find a decent local vegetarian restaurant online we stumbled across this fantastic place just a couple of minutes from the end of the Khoasan Road.

It's a beautiful, tastefully decorated and (importantly) air conditioned little restaurant with a really great vibe. The service is superb and the owner a lovely, unbelievably enthusiastic chap who can't wait to show you photos of his wife's amazing cooking on his iPad!

We had the most spectacular, perfectly balanced red curry with the best dumplings we've ever had. This was partnered with an order of gorgeous and light veg tempura with a plum sauce that is to die for, and a house salad with fruit and peanut sauce that is an explosion of flavours and textures we've never encountered before. Portion size is impressive and on just these few dishes with one order of rice we were both full to bursting.

You can see the attention that goes into presentation here, every dish is a riot of colour, carefully constructed from the most fresh and natural ingredients that look as delicious as they taste!

We tried a couple of other places nearby over the course of our time in Bangkok and nothing even came close. The prices are also very reasonable, especially compared to Ethos round the corner, where the food was below average, the portion size disappointing, the service sub par and it was bloody uncomfortable and hot.

Mango on the other had is the closest we've ever come to the perfect dining experience. We simply cannot recommend It enough and couldn't stop ourselves coming back every other day!!

UPDATE: We came back to Mango after a few weeks travelling the islands and the summer menu was in! Just brilliant, really experimental and innovative. We had the tofu with chilli and lychee sauce, summer rolls and our all time favourite coconut strawberry shake. Mango keeps getting better! Back soon for one last visit before the end of our Asia trip.

“Great Little Vegetarian Restaurant”
Reviewed 11 July 2014 via mobile

We walked Kho Sahn road then stumbled across this quaint little restaurant. Staff were super friendly and when I asked what kombucha was she let me sample every single one!

The menu was excellent and we both had the mango pad thai. It was delicious and I would love to try more of their menu.

Great prices, great food, great venue with some stunning art work on the walls. Definitely better than some of the food available on Kho Sahn Road.

Head along to Charlies Massage shop then walk towards the end of the road with Charlie's on your left hand side. First left at the end of the street and Mango is on the left hand side of the street. Enjoy!

“Creative menu, delicious food, gorgeous cat!”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Great new little place on Tanao Rd, near the wedding & silver shops, close to Khao San Rd. I have been coming to Bangkok for years & am always on the look out for vegetarian eateries. This place is great! The menu is very creative - includes things like tempeh, lotus root, kidney beans, & all sorts of vegetables, all with the tasty Thai flair. I was finding it difficult to choose as everything sounded delicious. Portions are good too. And I love that they have brown rice (or white if you want it). Have a good range of drinks & desserts too. The owners are lovely - with 28 cats at home! (Most outside). They had one gorgeous ginger boy at the restaurant when I was there for lunch. The owner wants to get a bigger place soon as can get full. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back over & over again!
