The people recognizes it first as rambuttri village not house. At first hard to find but still very cheap. We also got a discount because if stay for like more than 3 days you'll get a 30% discount for a room. :) they will not clean and change the towels and everything if you will not tell them to do so. So your things inside are safe. :) it is very near to Khao san road. :) Not noisy at all considering its location where the streets are very busy until dawn. :)

Stayed 2 weeks in Bangkok here it was great. Rambuttri is awesome, close to khao San road and heaps of good vegan and veg options close by. Fruit vendor outside 15bht fruit 20bht coconut.
Good clean room. Pool on top. When I was there it was 40 degrees in the shade. Arrived at midnight and it was pumping, arrived 4 in the morning another time and it was pumping. Great bit of town close to Muay Thai, temple, foodies everything! Value for money.

Room Tip: Value for money rooms. Best you'll find in the area.

The hotel is hard to find at first. The local recognizes Rambuttri Village, not Rambuttri House.
The receptionist is kind. The money is cheap.
It was a great place to backpackers, near the Khao San Road crowd, can have food street.
Also, it was only 20 - 30 minutes walk to Grand Palace and Wat Pho..

Rooms aren't particularly spacious but they are nice and well kept! There's few wifi and free baggage services and the location is right next to Khao San road. This does however mean it's a bit loud at night but we were still able to sleep!

There were however lots of mini ants on the wall which eventually reached the bed in small amounts. This doesn't seem to be a usual problem maybe we were just unlucky with the road! We also couldn't get the window shut completely and as a result got quite a few mosquito bites in the night.

All in all it was a nice place to stay I just feel that we got slightly unlucky with our room! I would still recommend.

We visited Rambuttri House as part of a group tour, stayed 2 nights, and decided to book this place for our final night in Bangkok (4 weeks later after leaving our group) because we were impressed by its value for money and its convenient location right next to kao san road. Unlike some reviews I have read, we didnt find our rooms noisy, even at night (we stayed in rooms 202 and 403). Its so central, and although it dosent have a swimming pool (but why would it at that price) we walked along Kao san road to a place just a few minutes walk away called 'buddys lounge' and paid 200 baht to use their pool - amazing! On both occasions our room was clean and the staff were polite and friendly.

Room Tip: Rooms 202 and 403 were both quiet rooms!

We found rambuttri house when we were booking some trips with the equally excellent rambuttri travel (attached). We booked a bright, comfortable, clean room with air con, an ensuit and TV for a modest price (bonus! They have a lift so you don't have to lug your bags up millions of stairs).
One of the best things by far about rambuttri is it's location. Positioned on rambuttri road; filled with restaurants, street food stalls and a couple of shops, it's also just a minute or so's walk from the busy and bustling khao San road via a cut through. There, you can sample the bars, street stalls and loud music but retire to the slightly lower key rambuttri when you eventually stumble home :P
Overall, a great room, friendly staff and a perfect location!

Stayed one night in a triple room. Room was ok, average clean and ok beds. Shower isn't separate in the bathroom so expect a minor flood.Staff friendly.
Very noisy street and little privacy from other rooms. But for the price I'd say good value.

Actually booked two nights but called booking and cancelled since we had an early flight and
there was no warning that the worst and most intense part of Thailand water civil war Songkran would be held in front of the hotel on the dates we were staying, no taxis would take us to the hotel since all roads were closed. Imagine going through a concert crowd splashing water and mud on you with your luggage, awful.

Room Tip: Don't ever stay here during 'Songkran'
