“The power of King power!”
Reviewed 20 May 2012 via mobile

Spent 3 Nights with Friends and Family at the King power on the way back from our Thailand Holiday - Perfect plus. Decided to Take the Executive Suite - although pricey well worth it from Start to end! Staff excellent, checkin, happy Hour and canapes daily and 5 star private breakfast! I know where we'll be staying on our next visit to BKK!
Neg: Storage room in the room and the Shopping pricey at King power - go to mbk instead

The hotel is pleasant but unfortunately is in an isolated location which necessitates getting a taxi to go anywhere. The food prices, range and quality reflect this "captured" situation. The staff were very good.

From the moment we arrived at the Pullman King Power we were treated like royalty. The staff are so genuinely friendly without being over the top. As we had booked an executive room, (worth the extra believe me it pays for itself) we were escorted to the executive reception on floor 20. Immediately were shown to comfy sofas, given ice cold towels (temp outside 32deg and 90% humidity) and cold drinks before going thought the registration. Angie the duty manager welcomed us and advised we had been upgraded to a suite for our stay. The suite was huge, comfortable, fully equipped, minibar with free drinks, lounge, bedroom bathroom with the biggest bath tub I have ever seen, and huge fluffy towels. We had a king-sized bed with pillow top and pillow menu with choice from hypo allergenic to goose down. Breakfast could be taken anywhere in the hotel but why leave our friends in the executive lounge where they served a wonderful breakfast with such happiness and friendliness. In the evening the lounge offers complimentary canapés and cocktails, other than great food and drink it was an opportunity to meet other guests, use the internet or the massage chair. The hotel found out we were there for our wedding anniversary and sent us champagne and hand made chocs, wonderful. Facilities at the hotel include everything you would need and more, great restaurants, bars, spa, fitness room, great pool with friendly staff helping set up the loungers with big soft towels. The garden area is wonderful with comfortable seating around a koi carp pool and snack bar. The hotel is located close to the station from the airport and an easy walk to the skytrain although a free tuktuk is provided if you don’t want to walk. Two stops to Siam square and the huge shopping centre, markets, Silom street etc. I could go on and on just to say I have travelled the world on business and never felt ‘at home’ as I did with the Pullman, I have never stayed at a hotel where I did not want to leave. Fully recommend this hotel to everybody.

Room Tip: You MUST pay the extra for the executive room worth every penny.

We stayed in Pullman 6 nights in January after returning from Koh Chang island. We had reserved a high floor Excutive Club room and were very happy with our stay in Pullman. On arrival we were impressed by the smiling welcome and quick service in check-in with a cool towel and a resfreshing drink.

The club lounge was absolutely terrific. After a tour on Chao Praya river or shopping in Bangkok it was relaxing to enjoy the city views when evening falls with cocktails, wine etc. served with a style. The food in the lounge consisted of different kinds of sea food, sushi, warm things followed by an assortment of little sweet desserts.

We enjoyed a Chinese Dinner at the restaurant and also some seafood and cheese platter plus wine in the Wine Pub. Both were of excellent quality and the service was fine. The Wine Pub seems to be very popular at least on a Saturday night.

The buffet breakfast was amazing with wide selections, superb French croissants and fresh fruit. In some mornings we had breakfast in the club lounge where we could also order some warm omelettes or croque and otherwise enjoy the buffet.

We used the swimming pool and were served with extra towels and caring service as well. The massage in their elegant premises was very enjoyable and relaxing, they had some offers as well.

There was also a local newspaper waiting for us every morning and a free Internet which was quick and easy. The amenities were great.

The staff was absolutely friendly and attentive at all times and made our stay one of the best experiences we have ever had! We look forward to returning to Pullman Bangkok King Power.

Room Tip: Choose Executive Club rooms if you want quality!

Stayed at Pullman suite for 3 nites in late Apr-early May 2012. Check in was professionally done at the exec lounge located on level 22, and we helped ourselves to some cakes and tea while the staff processed our documents. We were given discount vouchers for use at the massive King Power duty free emporium next door, welcome gifts of a nice leather bound luggage tag and complimentary entry to the King Power executive lounge at Suvannabhumi Airport upon departure. The exec floor stay also has other perks like free wifi, breakfast in suite and complimentary laundry (1 piece per day).

I could not fault this hotel at all - the service is slick and smooth, there are sufficient eating outlets in the premises, the landscaping is wonderful and permeates tranquility with kois and carps in ponds, the gym is amply endowed with latest treadmill and equipment, the LCD TVs in bedroom and living room have sufficient number of channels which I like (NatGeo, Star World, Ch News Asia, Discovery, etc), the massive duty free complex next door (which I initally was doubtful of visiting, but eventually bought a few items because of the discount vouchers offered!). The only gripe I had was that there isn't a balcony adjoining the suite. But this is due to the design of the building.

So how and what more could the hotel do to improve? Perhaps a TV in the bathroom for the suite, like those in Shangri-la, Grand Hyatt and Conrad? Or a jacuzzi bath?

Room Tip: Pay slightly more to get an exec floor room, as this comes with added benefits.

Five star in every way.

The hotel is located on large grounds offering welcome space in crowded Bangkok. Public transport is readily available in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The hotel has a choice of eateries offering various promotions everyday of the week. Prices are higher than restaurants in the area - but so is the quality of the food served in an upmarket environment.

The service is professional as is expected.

The room offered the necessary luxury amenities to make my stay comfortable. Complimentary water and soft drinks from the bar fridge were available daily. Free and fast wifi connections are available in the rooms.

This hotel offers value for money especially if you stay 3 and pay for 2 nights as I did.

Highly recommended.

(The discount vouchers offered as part of the current promotion is a disappointment considering the conditions and product limitations. Although I would have liked to, I did not use the vouchers given to me)

Room Tip: Stay on a higher floor for a better view
