Compared to other places in Bangkok, the services are quite correct. Clean rooms and bathrooms. There is a light breakfast and free tea/coffee at any time. Well secured hostel as well.
We liked the access to the rooftop with a nice view on the city (ideal for photographers!); too bad they didn't fit out the place as only a few people can really sit there comfortably - the rest of space is devoted to the laundry area.
At last but not least, the day staff aren't very smiling and friendly. They're doing their job but nothing more.
All in all, I think that it's a good spot to explore Sukhumvit. After a few days, we moved to Thewet where you can find cheaper places with welcoming staff.

Really nice hostel, excellent wifi. Helpful staff and beautiful roof terrace with great city views. Situated a two minute walk to the BTS line. The street food on the road the hostel is located on is excellent!

The main drawing point of this place is the location - Less than 5 minutes walk away from Thong Lor BTS station, and also the famous Soi 38 street hawkers.

The rooms & bathrooms were clean, and breakfast provided every morning (bread & cereals) was adequate. Only a minor complaint, that is the air conditioning was only functioning from 6pm to 11am next morning, but as I said, it's a minor complaint.

Hostel was good and comfortable. Very near from BTS Station (Thong Lo station). Beds are good. I find no problem with anything in hostel. Kitchen is very good & it also has washing facility. Breakfast is basic but sufficient. All day Coffee facility is the best thing. The bathroom was good and clean but unfortunately when I left my bodyshop soap in the bathroom and it was missing :( But nothing to be complained :)
Overall, it was great 3nights stay there!

Hi-Sukhumvit has a beautiful reception, with sofas and tables indoor and outdoor, a small pond with fish and a little bridge. I liked to start the day having a breakfast there with other travellers.
The beds are ok, good sleeping quality. Average prices, very difficult to bargain even for long stays, I think there was a small discount just from a two weeks stay but not sure. A bit far from the center but well communicated, very close to the skyway station.

I spent 2 nights in the double room with shared bathroom. Everything was alright.

Pros:
- Convenient location: Great local street food right outside (sticky rice with mango, crispy BBQ pork and especially smoothies-only 30-35B for a very fresh one), 3min walk to Thong Lo BTS from which you can easily go to Siam Centre, Suvarnabhumi airport (1 BTS trip and 1 airport link), Chatuchak Market, Hualamphong station, etc.
- Helpful staff (even though none of them helped us with the heavy suitcase but kinda expected).
- Lovely rooftop and decoration
- Wifi works everywhere and fast, even the rooftop.

Cons:
- Very bad sound-proofing, possibly because of the wooden plank flooring? My neighbours tended to slam the door and it surprised me and my sister every single time. Guarantee you can hear their steps and conversations clearly, or just bc of my room location?!
- The room is kinda stuffy with a small window that you can barely open because of the mosquitoes.
- Noisy aircon.
- Not really cheap
Note: If you go from Hualamphong station, take the MRT and skytrain (get off Thong Lo, not Sukhumvit otherwise long walk is certain), will save your time for avoiding congestion.

Hope this helps.

I stayed at this hostel a few times during my Peace Corps service when I had to be at a function for PC in BKK. It is near a BTS which was great because it made traveling around easier. Very clean, nice basic breakfast, and friendly staff. I stayed in both the dorm and private rooms, both were great. The bathrooms were near my rooms and were clean. No elevator so be prepared to climb the stairs.

Room Tip: If you are a female, you can choose between co-ed or all female dorms if you don't do a private...
