Well, we were searching for a place for our 1st wedding anniversary. While trying to book another michelin starred restaurant, but its service from the reservation staffs push me off. So we decided to give it a go for this well-known one and we impressed their service at the doorsteps.

We were seated by the window, with a stunning view of Chaopraya River. I had ordered 5 courses menu while my partner asked for 7 courses one. We were trying to test different menu from each of the course as much as possible by order different things. However, the choices for main corse were either lamb or pigeon one. As we aren't a big fan of pigeon, so the server offered to change my main to fish instead.

Most of the dishes were good but obviously we expected better (imo, there was nothing so special to remember but its service), however, what impressed us was the intermezzo served between the menu. Giving a thump up for its service. The staffs were very attentive and trying to ease us with his sense of humour.

Oh, received a surprise cake for our anniversary as well. Nice one:)

We had lunch at Le Normandie on Chakri Day and it was a full house, again. By making a reservation more than 1 month in advance, we managed to get a table by the window overlooking the river. Thanks to Chef Arnaud & his team, we all got a chance to savour some delicious culinary delights after a hectic schedule touring along the Chao Phraya river. The complimentary “La Tartiflette”, which was a twist on traditional Savoie recipe, was a perfect demonstration of the chef’s culinary skills in turning the simplest ingredients: potatoes, cheese & onions, into an exquisite dish. The grand mariner soufflé was equally impressive, which reminded me of my delectable experience in Paris.

Service was attentive and hospitable, especially the maître d'hôtel, who also perfectly flambéed the crepe Suzette for us. We were all allergic to alcohol so we could just order some mocktails instead. To our pleasant surprise, the sommelier (Khun Banyat???) did come to our table to check if everything’s ok... we have dined at some top-notch restaurants around the world, including those 3-starred establishments, but have never had such experience, mocktails only, unbelievable, which showed that the establishment took genuine interest in ensuring clients’ satisfaction. The mocktails, of course, were great and were IMHO the best I have ever had.

Le Normandie is always a good place to impress your guests or just to have an enjoyable meal.

Is it worth the price: Yes absolutely

Service was attentive, staff were friendly and knowledgable. Chef came out to ensure every guest had enjoyed their meal.

Food was divine, delicious. Great flavour, great presentation.

It was a lovely experience, and that is what you would expect going to a 2 Starred Michelin Restaurant. The take home macaroons were delicious. Honestly I highly recommend this for a treat!

We have a lovely experience and would return in a heartbeat

I first dined at the "Normandie Grill"---as believe was called in that long ago era---in
1967. Was fortunate enough to go quite a few times over the next 25 years or so.
But...a lunch experience just last week in early April, was my first visit in last 10-12 years.

All my memories were entirely pleasant. And, of course, my expectations were hig, indeed very high. So, am most pleased to note. That my long ago memories...were confirmed in every way. In addition, this most recent dining experience met my expectations---in every way. Luckily, will now be able to go again to Le Normandie
much more frequently.
