Very Nice Hotel, Away from the crowd and noisy roads.
Only dark point is the access to public transportation, have to Take the cab or walk to the "New City" but never spent more than 60bat... Reasonable.
If available, ask to Be in the second building, further from the "klong" that CAN Be a bit noisy in the night

Amidst a very busy and lively part of Bangkok and besides a canal where we even saw swimming a monitor lizard, Lamphu tree hotel is like a little, quiet oasis. The service was excellent and we can recommend the cocktails in the little garden. Put on some stuff on your skin against the numerous little mosquitos which by the way are not a great bother. We had rooms on the 3th food at the side of the swimming pool which we can recommend as the most quiet of the hotel. The rooms were not very big but everything you need is there. The beds are excellent and the airco as well

Walking to the hotel you will find yourself immediately amongst the Thai who live in the street and in very poor houses as well; but the mood is very friendly and relaxed. Ko Sang road is about 15 minutes walk. There are some excellent (street)restaurants which are to be found in an area if you walk westwards along the canal and turn right after about 5 minutes walk.

I was staying in the 2nd building which is 2 minutes walk from the main building. The area looks quite poor and run down appears to be safe. The guesthouse however is in immaculate condition. Large rooms with flat scren tv and a decent size bathroom with a walk-in shower room. Keycards are used to access building and rooms. It is about 10 mins walk from kho san road. Although the surroundings aren't all that nice the room is by far the nicest i've stayed in on this trip to Thailand.

Room Tip: No idea what building 1 is like but the room I got on 5th floor of building 2 was great.

We stayed at the Lamphu Tree House twice in the last few weeks. Loved this hotel! It's off the main street in a fairly quiet location, but walking distance to Kao Sahn Road. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Staff was very friendly and even put us in a temporary room when we arrived at 6am so that we could rest. Their full breakfast was the best we had in Thailand and their cocktails were excellent. We will stay here again when we return to Bangkok.

Room Tip: Make sure you stay in the main building where the pool and restaurant are located.

So far the best place we have discovered in Bangkok. The price value is awesome, the stuff is super friendly and helpful and the room (we got no 621) was wonderful. Very clean, very modern and very quiet in the center of Bangkok. I highly recommend this place to everybody who is looking for a very good cost/performance value! If we ever come back we will definitely stay at this place again! Thank you very much Lamphu Tree Hotel staff for such a good service!

Currently staying at Lamphu and it is great. Lovely, peaceful rooms with good air con. Wifi as well, I'm using it to write this! Beautiful free breakfast, definitely worth making sure you r up for it! Great pool to relax in after a day wandering around in the Bangkok heat. Everything is amazingly clean. The restaurant is great and relatively cheap. Staff are awesome, they have even been writing places in Thai for us to give to taxi drivers so we end up in the right place. Sad that today is our last day here!!

We stayed Lamphu tree for 4 nights. It is walking distance to the National Museum, the Grand Palace, the Wat Phra, and the Golden Mount Temple. It's just a few minutes away from Khao San, but it's quiet.
The service is excellent, with good American breakfast, free Wifi in each room. The staff is friendly and helpful.
