“Not to be missed”

As long time fans of the Jakarta branch of this restaurant we just had to drop int when passing through Bangkok and were not disappointed. We went for the Hazara menu and Indian cuisine but whatever you choose the quality of the food is exceptional and as others have commented, this combined with the ambiance and stunning décor of the venue just makes for an excellent evening. Don't prevaricate, just go. It will be one of the highlights of your time in Bangkok.

Our top tip is to arrive early and enjoy great cocktails whilst lounging on one of the elaborate beds in the bar, but to do so I suggest you take the BTS and not a taxi. The traffic getting to Sukhumvit in the early evening can be horrendous whereas there is a BTS stop at Thong Lo, just a few hundred metres from the restaurant. Go!

“Thai Fine Dining”
Reviewed 25 April 2014 via mobile

The restaurant decor very much Balinese. For once, thought I am in the wrong restaurant. The place is gorgeous.

Seafood baked in the coconut picture here. No longer on the menu. Wanted to try it, shame.

Cocktails was good. Roast duck red curry is good. Overall, the food here is much much much better than mango tree. Dinner for 4 easily more than 8000b here.

If you want to have the Indian curry, make sure ask for the curry menu. They don't offer when we are seated. Only know after finished meal. Japanese cuisine not available everyday. Make sure you call before visiting.

“Excellent food, service and ambience”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

We had dinner here recently and loved every facet of our experience. The Thai teak buildings exuded warmth and character and the sculptures, artworks and water features really made it a visual feast for the eyes!

We had a Celiac friend with us - when we mentioned that to the server, she was very helpful and advised her on which menu items would be gluten free. The restaurant Manager / Partner was very friendly and attentive throughout the entire evening too.

One of our party had the prawns - they were very fresh and well cooked. All other dishes were nicely presented and the proportion sizes were ample. Wine selection was good too. Our pre-dinner cocktails were also well made.

This is definitely at the higher end of the price scale but we feel that it is definitely well worth it. We plan to visit again very soon. It is a welcome authentic Thai oasis in this busy concrete jungle of a city.

We noted that they also have a small Beauty Spa as well as some larger function rooms so will keep that in mind for the future. Suggest you pre-book for dinner as it was quite busy at this restaurant.

Set in a new but traditional wooden Thai mansion with many old style and attractive features. You can eat Indian, Thai or Japanese. There is also a really nice bar which on occasion has live jazz being played. Very cool and relaxing.

“Great food”

Superb. Had a great meal here. Expensive but worth it if you can afford it. Makes a difference to the usual tourist food available and a must for a one off.
