Enjoy this slice of Indonesia and truly feel like you are in the orient. Savor a lovely dinner (Thai or Indian cuisine) surrounded by reclaimed teak, carved statues, and old silk. Service was excellent and we dined on the Indian menu.

Yet another easy find off the BTS and only 4 stops from the hotel we stayed for two nights.

Walking into this traditional Thai-styled compound was delicious. Although it is all new and designed ed by a Brit (according to the gent who escorted us in) it felt as though we had stepped back in time. All wood, dramatically placed decorative pieces from different SE Asian countries, candles lighting the way upwide wooden planks to stilted rooms topped with high pitched rooves with more candles at the tables- every aspect is so well tendedand inviting, I didn't want to leave. The service was impeccable, with details taken care of by very discrete staff. I am not a foodie but i enjoyed all of the foods that we ordered, particularly the various sauces for our selections. We ate Thai food to stay with the flow of the physical atmosphere, although they also have Indian and Japanese menus available.
Bangkok has do many nice, international restaurants, but at Face I felt like I was transported to magical, exotic Siam.

This is a fine dining restaurant with tax added at the end which can surprise but as long as you're happy with that Face can do no wrong. Firstly the restaurant is a beautiful complex of tradtional teak buildings arranged around a courtyard and is really special and romantic. Last night we were in our own private function room which was just stunning, making the night feel very special. We ate from a fixed price menu comprised of both Thai and Indian dishes which was served down the long table, family style. The food was delicious and I was sad to see that we could not finish it all- I wish I could have taken the lamb and pomelo salad with me! We were allowed to pay for our drinks separately which is ideal when in a big group. I had the ginger martini which was fabulous. The service, as always, was exceptional.

This is a restaurant that you go to for a treat. Not just for the reliably delicious food but also the ambiance and setting.

What a great experience to enjoy truly Thai food in Thailand in a most traditional restaurant. The whole ambiance, set up and decor was fit for the Thai cuisine. Other kinds of food like Indian is also available. There are sections for it. The design of the restaurant is made of traditional Bamboo and wood with lots of stairs here and there to go to different sections. The Thai waitresses in their traditional attire receive the guests and serve the delicious food. At night, inside the restaurant was a game of lights and darkness with is decor. The presentation of food was beautiful. We requested for food which was not spicy and they prepared it accordingly.

Exceptional dining experience, gorgeous old Thai 'house' (with air con!) and so delicious Thai and Indian food. Definitely one if the top 5 experiences for any trip to Bangkok. Great cocktails too - ask the barman for a Ginger-Lychee Martini!

Unlike so many of the sparkling new Hi-So Bangkok restaurants popping up, this one actually has great food! In fact it always has had. Tucked away in a quiet soi Face is unobtrusive on the exterior, but another world once you climb the stairs.

Enjoy this Asian gem.
