We stayed several nights in the 2 first weeks of february (divided stay).
We found the staff aloof and not so friendly. Our first night in room 21 was a nightmare because of the street noise and sky train. Impossible to sleep. I naively thought the windows were doubled but it was not the case. For the other night we moved to 24 and 34 (backyard room) it was indeed much better and calm. The room were minimilasit but nice enough. We appreciated the free boiler with coffee and tea !
For one of our last night we arrived very early (at 8) it was already our third stay. Our room was available but they charged us 300 bath for early check-in. It is something I' ve never seen before, especially that I work in the hotel industry. When the room was not booked the night before and it is available, you don't charge people : it is considered as a uncommercial practise and offensive. For our last night in bangkok we finally changed for a much better place called "triple 8" 10 minutes walk !
