Stayed in June for three nights during a quick leisure trip to bangkok.

The positives - right on the Chong Nonsi skytrain which is a godsend. Also within walking distance of the Patpong night markets (lots of fun) and walking distance to Healthlands Spa (excellent, professional massage, health and spa treatments).

The Thai staff at the lodge are friendly and helpful.

The negatives... unfortunately the big negative was that the owner of the hotel was away on holiday and had left some rather crude European and Australian men in charge of the place. Their language (on many occasions) left a lot to be desired and this included the use of swear words and discussing the various problems they have had with Thai boyfriends (and other things which are not suitable to print here).

I felt uncomfortable.

There is no lift in this property and while the staff are happy to carry your luggage for you, it is still a hike in unairconditioned hall ways up and down to your room.

The rooms themselves are very basic, but they do have everything you need in terms of airconditioning, tea/coffee, a safe, hot water and free wi-fi. The beds themselves are large and I slept well.

Breakfast is included in the rate and was cooked to order. It was ok (eggs and toast and coffee). I tried a couple of other plates of food at dinner time and they were very average.

Finally, the hotel seems to have no concept of privacy. Each day I was there the full list of all hotel guests (including first and last names) was left in full view on the front counter.

Unfortunately I would not stay at this place again.

Rooms- good spacious/clean/have fridge & tv. Bed very comfortable
Location: - very good right next to BTS skytrain
Food: Breakfast small but acceptable. Other meals good value and good quality.
Facilities: Free internet/wifi
For the price you pay it is excellent.
Only complaint some staff are not the usual Thai friend for life you normally find.

The hotel is centrally located next to chong nonsi metro station and only a couple of metro stops from the river on one side and silom nightlife on the other side. So I found the location to be excellent. Staff were extremely friendly, but then I share the same experience with the staff all over Thailand.
I had a big room oberlooking the street with big window so it was a bit noisy. Bathroom was very big and clean, and the food served for breakfast- a bit small portions but then they served excellent dinners with a touch of European and Thai cuisine. Great value for money and already recommended it to few of my friends

You could do a lot worse than the Om Yim Hotel. It's very clean, central and the price is a nice balance between budget and comfort. The main reason we came was for the free wifi (we work while on the road) and we also liked having breakfast included. The coffee maker in the room was another nice touch. What we didn't like was the variable service. Sometimes staff were great, other times it seemed they really couldn't care if we were there or not. The wifi was also not reliable in the rooms and when we mentioned this to the owner he didn't seem in too much of a hurry to try and figure out the problem. We could use it in the reception area and there it worked very well but we had paid up for the Om Yim so we could have in-room access so overall this was disappointing.

Stayed at this Hotel for 5 nights in September, seems incrediably hard for taxi drivers to find even if you have instructions in Thai.
Room pictures looked better on the net.
I had a rear room, noises from outside most of night, only had small window, not much natural light, no carpet, some type of artificial wood floor, bathroom reasonable, no hot water at wash basin.
Disappointing American breakfast and coffee is not good.
Incredibly complicated credit card checking procedure and don't try to leave early, you will be penalised.
Located next to Sky Train Station but they finish at midnight so if you come back late in a taxi don't expect the driver to find it by himself whether you have a map and instructions or not.
I just didn't like the hotel and was glad to leave, there is a lot of better value hotels in Bangkok.

The decoration of the lodge is tastefully decorated in a simple manner.

The hospitality in the lodge is very warm and great. Although it caters more to the gay guest but my mom and I have no trouble at all staying at the hotel. We were given the rooms as requested on the first floor by email as they don't have lifts in the building. The staff are happy to carry your luggage to your room.

The price of food is reasonable and tasty.

The BTS (metro) is just 1 min away from the lodge. The station is just 3 stops away from Siam station which is the shopping central or interchange to other line.

Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Instructions on their website on how to get to the lodge are clear and can be easily understood by the taxi driver from the airport. Taxi fare cost about 400 baht including toll fare.

I would definitely stay in this lodge if I ever come to Bangkok again.

Fantastic little hotel and great value for money in a city. Right near Skytrain station Chong Nonsi and walking distance or one train stop to Patpong area, eateries (Convent Road is great) and a few stops to ferry terminal. The nicest sheets comfy bed, double sealed windows, coffee making facilities in room, free drinking water every day, free wireless in room and great breakfast and the best coffee in the morning. Lovely friendly staff top it off.

Excellent value and great for people who are past the backpacking, super cheap stage and are wanting to get away from Koh San Road chaos.
