Punjab Grill is a part of Radisson Suites where we stayed.

The moment we entered the restaurant, it felt more Indian than many Indian specialities we have in Delhi or other parts of India. We just couldn't go anywhere else to dine as the food tasted absolutely delicious. The food was modern yet authentic, like my favourite bread there was mushroom kulcha. The beetroot tikki was finger licking good too.

Now, talking about the service part. It was the service of the manager there, Ashwani, which took the experience to a different level. Whenever we needeed help in ordering, he would be sweet enough to offer help and suggest dishes. We were never disappointed. Even when we ordered food in our room, it came along with all the essentials of an Indian palate, and it was the manager who took our order. All in all, an unforgettable experience both taste wise and service wise. I've still experienced good food but this kind of service, is definitely worth experiencing.

I highly recommend this place if you are in Bangkok. Whether you an Indian or not, you'll have a great evening.

We went to Punjab Grill for a work team dinner and I am not attempting to curry favour with my boss or with Punjab Grill when I say it was a great evening with mostly superb food.
The menu neatly blends tradition and creativity; this is especially the case with the cocktails and desserts.
Try the vodka based cocktail with salt, basil and chili - it really hits the spot and opens the palate for what is to come.
There is a tasting menu if you so wish but we went a la carte and chose a wide range of dishes to share and there were mainly hits but some misses. The Avocado shell was disappointing as was the dhal which was lacking in depth and flavour. However, the butter chicken and the salmon tikka were fantastic as was the paneer - cannot remember which paneer dish but it was very green!
The show really gets going on desserts and the kulfi is served in an amazing way - order it and discover....
The service was efficient and friendly although they did seem to start almost every sentence with the word "sorry" which became a bit weird - sorry, here is your dhal, sorry, here is your wine etc. etc.
For this area of town and style of restaurant the prices are reasonable.
Overall, if you are looking for the best Indian food in town there are other places to go but if you want good food and atmosphere along with a few theatrics then Punjab Grill is a great choice.

Based on reviews and high prices, we had great expectations which led to disappointment. It is too big, taking up almost the entire lobby of the Radisson in a deserted street off Sukhumvit. Avoid Naan (burnt) or mixed vegetables (served with cottage cheese in too much gravy) or tiger prawns (800 baht for 4 pieces). Neither the clientele nor the ambience is what you would find at Bukhara in New Delhi or an upmarket Indian restaurant in London's Westend. The singer tries hard to please but fails as he has no live music to accompany him. They will do a lot better to promote it as a buffet place at 500 baht/person rather than try to position it as an elegant restaurant.

Dear Captain510,

Thank you very much for the feedback and review of Punjab Grill Bangkok.

We are sorry you felt our restaurant was too big, we can seat 80 people and our location 500m off Sukhumvit road is very central for peoples needs and in which we can do nothing about. Your comments on our food and pricing have been noted and we are very sorry that you felt we are expensive. With regards to our clientele, we do welcome everyone from hotel guests to locals and tourists and ask that dress code is smart casual which we maintain.

With regards to promoting ourselves as a THB500 buffet restaurant, we will not be doing this and hope that you will find such a venue to suit your taste.

If we can be of any further help or assistance please do reach out to me.

Sincerely,

Ashwani Kumar

We were part of a large group at a friend's farewell dinner - the food was superb. We had sharing platters, with the waiters serving us dish after dish, EVERYTHING we had, from starter to main course to dessert were excellent. The special effects for the dessert was also a feast to the eyes as well as to the stomach.
