Eurana is a pleasantly clean and well-landscaped boutique hotel with a good location in the Old City of Chiang Mai, and a 15 minute walk to the night market. We booked a Deluxe Pool Villa for $66 USD/AUD for a night and were happy with the quality of accommodation. The Deluxe rooms are spacious, with a table and chairs, king size bed, and mini-fridge plus tea & coffee supplies. The bathtub is western size (vs. Thai size tubs), and the shower pressure the best in all of Thailand. The pool is refreshing but not overly cold, and there are a dozen lounge chairs with a few umbrellas for shade. It's not always possible to get a pool towel, as the attendants work odd hours and take frequent breaks. My only complaint with the room is that it would have been nice to have a reading light near the bed. Also, the included breakfast left much to be desired, but there are many excellent cafes in the area.
Instead of eating here, walk down Soi 9 for the best breakfast ever at Blue Diamond. Order the hash browns, scrambled eggs or omelette with toasted bun (homemade), and the spicy avocado salad (it's not really spicy)--mix it all together, and prepare to become addicted!

We stayed at the Eurana for 3 nights during our stay in Chiang Mai and were happy with the room and you can't beat the location! There is a wonderful restaurant too right behind the hotel called "Nice Kitchen" that we ate breakfast at every morning. Rooms were nice and comfortable for sleeping. Would recommend staying here!

this place is a dump, poor quality rooms and the staff are children dressed up in uniforms "playing hotel". Got locked out of my room and it took half an hour and two trips to reception before it was unlocked for me. We paid on arrival the night before, but when we checked out, the kids on the desk demanded that we pay again.....don't be fooled by the uniforms, these guys are highly unorganized.

Its a pity because this place is a diamond in the rough. Location is great! Quiet Soi, backpacker area, great garden and OK pool...but the rooms are very small and run down with old mattresses :/. Even the TV was a snowy reception. I didn't get a hot shower but my husband managed to. Our sleep was also disrupted by a screaming baby from the building next door. Kept us up at night and woke us early morning. We ended up changing hotels.
Very kind staff!

We toured this hotel when it first openend/renovated (when we were in the $12 room phase of our travelling careers ;) and wished we were staying there. Many trips to Chiang Mai and many hotel rooms later we decided to give it a whirl as we love the area and thought a pool would be nice for the price. The hotel is now half the price it was then (we booked in for 800 tbh in September off season), and is showing a lot of wear & tear around the edges.

This hotel is definitely not 'boutique' but it's decent value for the price. Bed was comfortable, in room wifi was reasonably fast, free water replenished every day. Decor is a tad interior hospital room in feeling. Pool is the sort you might find in a back yard of an average North American suburban house - smallish, vinyl lined and we had to go and ask for towels on our first visit. No pool side drinks or perks. And if you're unlucky, a posee of young travellers will have rented a pool view room and are noisily chatting with each other between pool and room and monopolizing the whole pool. Downside of the cheaper price and pool is that groups of younger noisier travellers can afford to stay there.

Neighbourhood is excellent. We didn't eat in the restaurant and recommend taking the less expensive room rate not including breakfast (as there are several other breakfast spots around the hotel that serve up less expensive and good food). I also didn't try the spa, as there are two great massage spots on the same soi.

All in all, not unhappy with our stay but likely won't stay again. So many good hotel options in Chiang Mai (which is likely why this one is a tad tired and half the price from when it opened).

Room Tip: Don't go for the pool view room. Not a great view, not a great pool and likely noisy if loud pool goers are staying at the hotel.
