We had a very very nice room. Great value for money. Can't really complain about anything apart from a noisy dog at 3am. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Great hotel, good value for money
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and had an excellent experience.
Location: less than 10 minute drive from the city of chang mai.
Service was good, helpful staff.
The room was nice and clean.
WiFi in the rooms is free, and there is a computer connected to the internet in the lobby that guests can use.
We strongly recommend it!

I fell in love at this hotel while falling in love with the hotel. The Aruntara Hotel is a slice of heaven in heavenly Chiang Mai. Located near the Muslim quarter, on the Mae Ping River, this hotel is 5 minutes from the Night Market and 8 minutes from the Thapae Gate and the Old City. The hotel itself is a modern architectural gem with well finished rooms and public spaces. The restaurant, manned by Chef See, is absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, and adapts to western as well as Thai palates. The entire staff is pleasant and ready to please. This is my third visit to Chiang Mai, and the 8th hotel I've visited there, in the last 18 months. In terms of value for money, I would easily pick this hotel over 5 star competition nearby such as Le Meridien, and the Dusit D2. Lovely grounds, lounge chairs, and a small infinity pool are rarely used by the guests and I felt as if I were at my own private resort. My initial stay was 3 nights which I first extended to 5 nights and then to 7. Easy to get to, but very hard to leave the Aruntara. The hotel is located less than ten minutes from the airport in a lovely residential area of Chiang Mai. Thank you Aruntara Hotel for an outstanding stay. I loved the ala carte breakfast which featured the brilliant Chef See's excellent omelettes, pancakes, and traditional Thai breakfast as well. All in all, one of the best stays of my life and this is coming from a jaded and spoiled New Yorker.

I recently stayed at Aruntara with two girlfriends. We were immediately in awe of the beautiful gardens and reception foyer when we arrived. We were made to feel instantly welcome and given a welcome drink while we completed the documentation.

Our room comfortably accomodated three in single beds and the decor was modern but kept to the thai theme, which was really gorgeous.

The pool and surrounding gardens backed on to the river, which made a great space to relax and avoid the often chaotic nature of the thai streets. Loved eating breakfast outside.

For the price, this was an awesome find.

We have just finished our 3 night stay at the Aruntara. Overall it has been a pleasant stay.
• Cleanliness – the room and the hotel are clean and well presented.
• Location - a bit out of the way. Too far to walk to the centre especially when the sun is beaming down. Tuk-Tuk was 60-100baht depending on time of day. The Porter will flag one down for you when needed.
• Rooms - bed was quite hard. (not really an issue for me) Air conditioning was quite noisy. We tried sleeping with it off one night... only to wake up in a lather of sweat..... whoops
• Service- all the staff seemed very helpful and where full of smiles. The majority spoke pretty good English.
• Value – For me the hotel offered very good value for money, as it is significantly cheaper than the “brand name” hotels in the middle of town.
• Sleep Quality – apart from the A/C as mentioned we had no problems sleeping.
• Amenities – The pool was very small and tucked away in the shade. We might have used it had we stayed here a bit longer. I found the breakfast choice to be a bit limited, but the setting in which you ate it was very pleasant. (overlooking the ping river)
Would we come back here.....Yes. It offers excellent value for money.
