“Great hotel in Chiang Mai !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 December 2013

No doubt about it: this is a very nice hotel.
Highly recommend!
- Clean
- Very friendly and helpful staff
- Not the cheapest, but certainly not expensive for what you get
- Hard mattress
- Not in the city center (quiet), but city center and restaurants at walking distance (cheap tuktuks)
- Nice garden with charming view on the river

The hotel provides comfortable accomodation. The room is nicely decorated and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is OK and the restaurant has pleasant environment. The staff are very helpful and always wear smile. Will visit again if I go to Chiangmai next time

Overall a great stay, with helpful staff. They recommended and helped arranged transport and activities. Rooms were comfortable, well kept. Could do more with more restaurant options, though space could be the limiting factor. Get a decent coffee machine please ..

The hotel is amazing. It's mostly families but it was a nice getaway from the city. Def not a backpackers place but it's still really cheap. We are 4 ppl so they made us get another room which was kinda annoying but they are extremely nice about it. The staff is great and they even bring u fruit for an evening snack! Breakfast was delic and it's included. The hotel is close to the city but in a much quieter area which was so nice.
Def recommend this place!

Even though the hotel is not in the city square, you certainly feel like its close enough. The rooms are unique, and I liked the ability to open the shutters on the bath to the rest of the room. The rooms themselves are large enough and the beds are very comfortable. The lobby feels more like the entrance to a spa than a hotel- and I liked that. The grassy area out back by the restaurant is a nice touch, as is the river softly flowing by. The food was decent, but the one standout was the pineapple rice dish with dried pork floss (I can't remember the name). It was delicious! The staff are extremely helpful, and set up all of our transport each day, and booked activities for us. Aruntara is a good choice in Chiang Mai.

Very nice hotel with excellent service. We enjoyed it a lot. It has a very nice restaurant terrace next to the river with a nice view and a very nice yard. The food was also good and the breakfast buffet had a good variety.
It is just 10 minutes away from the walking area.

Had a terrific stay in Aruntara over a week including Loy Kratong Nov 2013. Standard rooms are not particularly big but comfortable and colour schemes are pleasing. Service was the usual friendly Thai standard and nothing was too much trouble. You do need to catch a tuk tuk or whatever to the old town but that is never a problem. The garden does have Ping River frontage and the restaurant area overlooks the river too. The Hotel had a Lanna Festival night on the Sunday of Loy K and all the staff were present and it was a really great evening. The staff seem like one big happy family and that certainly reflects on the great ambience at the hotel.

Room Tip: The standard rooms are fine.
