“Like we remembered”
Reviewed 17 May 2013

We ate here twice on our recent visit. Again, as in previous visits, service was attentive and food was good. It was pretty busy both times but didn't wait for service or food. Well priced in our opinion too.

“Food was not bad but service was terrible”
Reviewed 16 May 2013

Admittedly, the food was not bad but really overpriced for the quality of it. You can get similar quality food for a lower price nearby. Service was terrible (I'm an Asian btw), sadly there was a distinct preferential treatment towards the whites. Waitress was rude, waiter swiped your things away from the table because it was easier for them to place the dishes. My friends and I got fed up so we left right after our meal (main course, drink.dessert) and ended up chilling at a nearby restaurant instead.

Seriously, I don't quite get the good reviews on this place...I think it's a little overhyped. Do look around before you step into riverside. There are much better options around the area. Honestly, I went into riverside because of the good reviews but the experience there was bad.

“A Must Try”
Reviewed 14 May 2013

A fantastic place to go for a quite relaxing lunch by the river or you can go there for dinner on the boat and have a 2 hour cruise on the Ping River at no extra cost. We went there several times and the food was excellent value for money, the fried snake fish and tilapia are a must. The service was second to none, the staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcomed and added to a very good experience.

“go across the street”
Reviewed 7 May 2013

the riverside is great if you want to sit with a view on the ping, but very busy. go across the street and you have a riverside extension, here is it less busy. there is a beautiful inner garden for lovely dinning.

“Whole fried fish”
Reviewed 1 May 2013

I can't tell you any more about the whole fried tilapia other than it came with fried Thai basil and a sauce that could make an old army boot taste good.

Don't miss out on this one. Tables available on the river offer a unique scenic view of the city.
