“Brilliant, interesting and awesome”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

This was the most unusual and interesting attraction.

Small museum but stuffed full of THE most beautiful natural artifacts, seashells, stones, minerals, fossils, bugs...

Each item is beautiful or rare or unusual for some reason, and clearly lovingly collected and cherished.

Totally awesome hour and absolutely worth the 200 baht entrance fee

Hard to find this place, but keep trying. Ring the doorbell to get in.

“Bugs!!!!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

This is a small, family-operated museum, with a single floor jam-packed with pinned insects on display. For a bug-lover like me, it was a dream come true. Our tuk-tuk driver had a bit of trouble finding the place, so you may want to come armed with a map or detailed instructions about how to get there.

“Biodiversity on Display”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

What a great little museum, especially if you appreciate insect diversity! You'd be hard-pressed to find a more complete display of the region's biological and geological diversity, especially one that's open to the public. But there were also hundreds of other interesting collectables, including beautiful wood carvings and unusual rocks. We were also won-over by the proprietor's willingness to open the doors for as long as we wished, even though we walked in just 5 minutes before the usual closing time. Definitely worth a visit if you like natural history.

“More than meets the eye”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

I visited this place because I'm interested in insects. When I arrived the little lady went and put the fans on and told me there's three floors. I then explored and really took my time checking out all the information and written notes everywhere.

This place is different than similar places because it has a more personal approach and isn't afraid of blurring the lines between science and spirituality, I found that refreshing. The information is also great and there are some really crazy looking insects in their collection. I would recommend this to someone with a genuine interest that has a hour or two to spend walking around and taking a good look at everything cause there's much more than meets the eye

“as my Thai aunt says "medium"”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

This is a private museum dedicated to an incredible couples' life work mostly researching mosquitoes. On that front the museum succeeds with many newspaper clippings and articles on display plus the huge collection of critters. What surprised me and prompted me writing this review was the strong religious overtones to the whole museum. Know going in that amid the beautiful butterflies and huge scary beatles is lots of advice on finding and knowing God if you open your heart etc. Worth a look if you have time the couple is neat to read about but the religion is strong with this one
