Ok location. One street behind the night bazaar. Walking distances to the china town. Market and night bazaar.

Nice size room. No complains. But if they could just fix some brighter lighting for the rooms.

Clean. Comfy place. It has a lift in the premise and has its own car park.

Breakfast is served from 7am to 10am. Not many choices, but ok for the price you are paying for the room. But if they can it would be good if they could start breakfast from 6am.

I think your experience of the hotel all comes down to one thing: your choice between the normal or the deluxe room. Normal rooms are old, nothing special but cheap. It may not suit everyone's needs, though. The deluxe rooms costs only a little more, but offer a lot more. We changed to a deluxe room on arrival and didn't regret it. Deluxe rooms are spacious and clean, have a nicer decoration, a large bed, proper working wifi, a chair and table and lots of space to store your belongings. Furthermore, breakfast was nothing special, but okay. Location is great, only a short walk to the night market/restaurants/7-11 etc. Overall a pleasant stay due to our decision to pick the deluxe room. One last tip: for more quietness, pick a room on the second or third floor, since the first floor is the ground floor, alias where breakfast is served and where the seating area is situated.

Stayed in Tawan Court for 4 nights in a triple room with my wife and daughter.Rooms were old and tired, needing a coat of paint and new carpet. It was ok for the price.Renovations were going on during the day at the building along entrance.it was only a couple of minutes walk to the market, night bazaar and small shops and bars along the street out front. The lady at the tour desk in the hotel lobby was great and could organise any day trips with lots to do and see.American style breakfast was included in the room rate.

Room Tip: I think the rooms on upper floors have been renovated but ask to see room as i booked on the net.

A cheap hotel close to shoping and food. Nice and clean. The rooms are average or better than similar hotels at the same price. No swimingpool but as a living in the city it´s excellent.Ivé herad that they had plans of recondition with higher prices as a result but I don´t know when is´t taking place. Check it out!

Room Tip: I´ve stayed two times at this hotel and have experienced two different rooms. They are very similar.

Made reservation at Tawan Court Hotel through Agoda.com. Plane from U.S. scheduled to arrive in Chiang Mai at 10:30pm of Feb. 3. Snow storm in Korea delayed take off for over 8 hours. Arrived at Chiang Mai at 6:00am on the 4th. When I arrived at hotel staff could not find reservation. I showed them my copy, but had not saved room. No vacancies. Contacted Agoda. No Refund.

Our stay at the Tawan Court was fine. There was no horrible experience or big complaint. Just be aware that the rooms are very basic and unattractive, many rooms have shoilets (shower and toilet are share same floor - entire bathroom floor becomes wet - common in Asia), our shower water pressure was terrible, WiFi so intermittent it was barely usable and breakfast area was cute but food disappointing. Pros? They have laundry service at a reasonable price and the location is convenient to night market and other attractions.
The courtyard area in the middle of the rooms is quite nice and deceptive to the look of the actual rooms. There were several of us and the rooms were on par with one another.

Rooms were small and tired - plastic bedside locker - Bathroom was wet room with tiled floor so got very wet!

Could be quite noisy at night as sounds echoed around concrete walls of foyer. Wifi was poor and dropped off often.

Breakfast was very limited. First morning our whole breakfast was stone cold. Some days parts were warm. Sometimes it was serve yourself buffet - then they would have a bit of melon on offer to excite us, other days it was cook to order - this did not mean it would be warm.

Breakfast choice was very limited (even the thais only got the choice of 3 options) American breakfast was Tea or coffee - toast , fried egg, small slice of ham or hamburger sausage.

As both room and food was dismal i would not wish to stay there again.
