“Fantastic stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2012

Pak Chiang Mai was one of the best guesthouses we stayed in during our entire trip. The staff is excellent (that's putting in mildly). They are attentive to your every need and take care of anything (booking tours, trekking, etc). The rooms are very clean and spacious and the bathrooms are equally clean. The shampoo/conditioner and the shower gel are made in-house and are available for purchase. The location is perfect - right off the Chiang Mai gate (on the south wall). Also, the Saturday market is right across the street. Everything is very close by to this guesthouse. The complimentary breakfast is delicious. It is served from 7:30AM to 8PM, which is really convenient. Words can't describe the service at this guesthouse. Great stay and fabulous staff!

The Pak family and their staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming and professional. They have done a great job at creating a guesthouse with an authentic appearance yet with its very own personal style.

The rooms are cozy and the common area with the small tranquil enclosed garden is truly inviting. The kind of place you just want to sit and read while sipping tea or a freshly squeezed juice. Or you could have a Thai massage. It takes all the charm of Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand to drag you out from there.

We hope to be able to stay here next time we come to Chiang Mai.

Went to this b & b with my mom. It was wonderdul- everyone is SO friendly and you are served hot tea nightly!!!! LOVED THAT. Shampoo is locally made and the whole family made other parts of the place, the owner's dad MADE the hangers in the rooms. Its these little things... so nice.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Pak! The ladies that work there are so lovely and helpful, even organized a Bday cake for my fiancé.. We'll definitely be back for our anniversary and staying in the upstairs suite again as it was luxurious..

What a great place! I am a 14 year old expat kid who has stayed in many hotels all around the world. This was by far the best. We have stayed here twice now, we came back to Chiang Mai for a few reasons but one of the biggest was that we knew there was a great place to stay. The staff is the greatest I have ever had before, and they were constantly trying to make our stay as good as possible. The breakfast is phenomenal with great choices and homemade food. And it's free. While my parents were getting fantastic Thai massages brought straight to the guest house, my sister (10) and I (14) enjoyed homemade icecream and used the 24-hour free WiFi and Desktop computer access. A great place for all ages, families, anything. The sorted us out on the best places to go and the best drivers and everything you could ask for. Totally blown away. Highly reccommend.

Room Tip: For family, I reccommend either "Suite" rooms or 2 rooms with connecting balcony.

The Pak was very nice, the gardens and water features set off the entrance only to be topped by the beautiful smiles from the kind helpful and staff.

The staff were very helpful with every query, it was clean and had a nice traditional Thai feel about it.

The food was healthy and very tasty, the chef(s) obviously take their work seriously, well done to the whole team...

Room Tip: Upstair was nice and quiet

I can not say enough about how wonderful my stay at Pak was! I really felt like I was staying in someones home. I was even sick for part of my stay and the staff at Pak really took care of me as though I was family! The location is in the old part of town, walking distance to many spa's, temples, and restaurants. The Sunday night market is also nearby. They also are more than willing to help book excursions, massages, and cooking classes. I was very happy with my stay and will stay there in the future.
