“I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Excellent value for money.”
Reviewed 4 October 2013

I stayed at The Grand Napat for 10 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
The hotel reception staff are amazing, they are so helpful and lovely, they will happily assist you with any queries, give you advice, assist you with tuk tuk arrangements. Yes it's out of the city centre a bit, but there is no issue getting around because the staff arrange tuk tuks or taxis for you or if you want to walk for 20 minutes, you will get to the beginning of it all. All of the tuk tuk drivers know the hotel so it's easy to find your way back. I was travelling on my own & it was my first time in Chiang Mai & I had no issues.
The hotel itself is beautifully presented, very modern & clean. The rooms are also really modern, bright & clean - housekeeping do a great job. I had a studio room & was really comfortable, I didn't want to leave!
The pool is lovely. The gym is well equipped. The wifi is fast & reliable.
They arrange free airport transfers which is a great touch!!
The only thing I could possibly pick is breakfast, the selection is definitely sufficient, but leaning towards average & I found the breakfast service not to be as good as if you go for lunch/dinner. The lunches/dinners are delicious & very reasonably priced.
It was such a great stay that I have made two bookings to go back in November!!
It is one place where I truly felt that I had received really great value for my money.
Overall, the staff are wonderful. Both the ladies & gentlemen at reception make you feel so welcome & they are so professional - they speak good English too. The service is above their 3 star rating in my opinion & I would highly recommend it.

We got upgraded to a studio suite, large and comfy. Overlooking the pool. Large shower, king size bed, 42 in LCD TV. Can't ask for more. Garden view or pool view, both are fine. Restaurant is good, but breakfast menu is the same every day. But lots of food choices outside the hotel. Downside is that its far from main shopping areas. Will need Tuk Tuks to get to the hotel (min 100 baht). Excellent privacy. Free shuttle provided to airport, or train station.

Room Tip: Pool views are nice, corner rooms gives most privacy

very friendly and helpfull staff, nice and clean rooms with good airconditioning. The only minus is the fact that the bads are really hard. The breakfast is good and the restaurant offers very good quality dishes. The service is excellent. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the airport.
We can strongly recommend this hotel.

Stayed between Aug 24 and Aug 28. Nice good size room with a bathroom of an equally good size and not a squeeze. Balcony looked on to the pool and gym area. But the best part of it was the peace and quiet. Unlike most places, here I did not hear any thing that was going on in adjoining rooms making for some great sleep and rest which was much needed with the kind of work I was up to. It's not in the city center but if you come out to the main road and walk for 15mins to the right, you reach the road outside the moat of the old city. You'll find places to eat. There's a 7-Eleven at the entrance to the property adjoining which is a laundry. Close by is a Tawainese cake shop... Once on the main road, there's a nice spot across the road called Hualamphong Station - had some amazingly good grilled pork there (try it out if that's your thing). If you want a few watering holes, fret not if you don't see anything immediate. Take a left at the intersection on the main road and walk for ten minutes, you'll find some options. Having said that, a tuk-tuk ride to the city will cost you THB80 no matter what time of the day or night to and from the hotel/apartment.

We stayed in August 2013 in a 2 bedroom suite.
The room (or should I say apartment), was very nice with 2 bedrooms, a living room, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen (with small balconies from the living room and master bedroom).
The apt was decent size and was well kept, and clean. Though not new, things were in good state.

pool was nice, breakfast was simple and ok - though if you are looking for large buffet variety you may be slightly disappointed.
As mentioned by others, the hotel is not central, but within a short ride (~10 minutes from night bazaar).

We did find a great thai (traditional) massage place a few minutes walk from there - highly recommended. it is in a small shopping plaza 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel called JJ - ask the hotel, they will direct you. there is also a supermarket there and a bunch of (dance) bars across the street (too noisy for us, so can't comment on any).
Overall, a nice place of good quality and value. Recommended.

We stayed 4 nights in 202.
They provided us helpful staffs, clean & neat room, enough choices of breakfast, pick & send service to airport, swimming pool with tropical flowers & gym!

As written by others, it's located little bit far from center but drive just 5 minutes. We rented a car charged Baht1,200~. It could make you very precious trip.

And recommend to see JJ market & tesco supermarket for shop where located 3 minutes from hotel by a car and are not busy by tourist.
Tiny massage shop at JJ market behind rimping supermarket is clean and serve pro technique!
